Mofaz: West Must Strongly Interfere in Syria
Army Radio

Deputy Prime Minister, Shaul Mofaz said that the cyber war launched against Iran by many countries is a justified war, "I think it is a positive thing to let the Iranians get preoccupied with various strange spywares, it will distract them from developing their nuclear project".

On the situation of Syria, Mofaz believes that what is happening in Syria is a genocide, and that the western world is overwhelmingly aware that Bashar al-Assad does not provide any means in order to maintain his rule, "I've said this before, and half a year ago, the leader who carries out massacres against his own people will eventually be toppled, as I am sure that this a matter of time and the question is how many innocent persons will have to die in order for this to happen. "

On the expulsion of Syrians ambassadors from Western capitals, Mofaz said that "this was tantamount to a very important declaration in my opinion, but in comparison with the horror that we are witnessing, this is not enough." "I hope that this will be the first step in a series of more strict steps. I am sure that the West will intervene in what is happening in Syria," he added. "We will not instruct the Western countries, but it is about time they intervene, whether directly or indirectly."

Meridor, Iran-Syria-Hizbullah axis must be broken
"Israeli" radio

" Minister of Intelligence, Dan Meridor, said that what is happening in Syria is a work of horror, where we frequently see massacres, and thousands of people being killed, "this government is bad for its citizens, it is a sardonic unjust world, thus, there are always limits when bypassed cause a global vigilance, we see this and cannot say things clearly, it is shocking and reprehensible, and I hope this international work will contribute in something to stop this carnage, this is a basic humanitarian perspective."

"Can we take advantage of more? I think that today, awareness - what we asked for once - is being screened through the pictures, images also screened without being manipulated, and no one in the world doubts what is happening there, and the proof is the efforts of these ten countries," he stated.
He added, "this business is terrible and will has been ongoing for some time, and once I said, and so as the Prime Minister, that we are being cautious regarding one matter, if we expressed our support to anyone, it would harm him, it is very easy to say: Oh, we fight against Jews and try to stir public opinion, however I said when the limits are exceeded, as they did now, seeing every day horrific pictures of children, women and men killed in the streets, and bodies dumped by the people themselves, the first against the second, silence is prohibited in this case and things must be spoken, this is a universal humanitarian issue, I hope it will be effective."

"On the other hand, we express our position clearly, that Syria is part of the dangerous axis of Iran-Hizbullah-Syria; the Iranians have recently announced that their fighters are interfering, so as Hezbollah to save the Syrian regime, this axis is a threat to stability and peace, and Iran is its center, breaking this axis between Syria and Iran in my opinion is very important for all the Middle East and certainly for "Israel".

Dan Harel: No western military war against Syria
Channel 1

Former deputy chief of staff, Dan Harel, believes that the prospects for a western attack on Syria are very weak for two main reasons.

First, the Syrians know how to defend themselves, and they have a very, very sophisticated air defense, one of the most advanced in the world. Therefore, those who attack them must pay the price, and I do not think that the West is ready for this. You might ask why they have attacked Libya, Libya does not know how to defend itself.

Second, Harel said, it is not necessarily a tactical reason, but they do not want to lose pilots and aircrafts. "I think that the strategic reason of the problem is not al-Assad, the problem lies with the major conflict between different sects in Syria. I think that everyone in the West realize that if a military attack took place then the Syrian leadership and this government will go into a cruel and appalling sectarian war.

Regarding the possibility of transmitting chemical weapons from Syria to Lebanon, Harel said, that we should take into consideration two possible threats: first, a Syrian attack against us is a very weak possibility, as I think they're afraid of our response because we have the ability to largely harm the Syrian army. Today the military is the primary means. As for the smuggling of arms of various kinds, in fact I think this is a real danger, and we'll have to look in depth into Syria and to examine that if this happened how to deal with this matter.
