Head of Reform and Change bloc MP Michel Aoun said that the twopn of Arsal was a “supply base” for terrorist operating in Syria before Hezbollah’s involvement in the crisis-hit country.
During a talk show on Tuesday night, MP Aoun said that the residents of several border towns in Bekaa are with the army and not against him, wondering why other towns don’t do the same thing?
He noted that there is a decision to fight terrorism, especially that represented by ISIL, stressing that Russia, Syria and Iran are all concerned with this issue.
“If these states are excluded from the (anti-ISIL) coalition, it will not be completed.”
Meanwhile, Aoun said that nothing prevents carrying out Parliamentary elections, even if the committee tasked with overseeing the polls was lately formed. In this context, he assured that his bloc is ready for the elections.
Aoun also stated that the new parliament should elect a new president.
