Interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states said their countries will not stand idle in front of what they described as "categorical foreign intervention."
During the emergency meeting held in Jeddah Wednesday, ministers stressed "that the Gulf Cooperation Council of Arab Gulf States will not stand idly in front of categorical foreign interventions."
The statement did not specify the foreign powers, yet it added that "Yemen's security and the security of the GCC countries are integral," emphasizing that what threatens the security and safety of the people of Yemen threatens the security and stability of the region and the interests of its people.
The ministers also called for "the need to restore all headquarters and official institutions of the state of Yemen and for handing over all weapons and all the military equipment and public and private funds that have been looted.
