‘Activist’ Group Campaigns for Syrian No-Fly Zone

syrngopr
Several days ago the mainstream media reported on a supposed “chlorine gas attack” ostensibly carried out by the Syrian government in Idlib province in which six people allegedly were killed.
Are we dealing with a factual report here or simply another lie generated by the mainstream media, similar to the 2013 Ghouta attack, to justify Western military intervention?
Perhaps the reaction voiced by John Kerry may give us a clue. As was the case following the 2013 East Ghouta chemical attack, Kerry has now rushed forward with aninflammatory public statement condemning the Syrian government. And just as the 2013 attack was later shown to have been misrepresented as a dastardly government atrocity (using staged videos with actors posing as victims), when in reality it was, to all appearances, the work of terrorist rebels, my guess is we’re probably looking at something similar in this case as well.
The media have a proven track record of lying and falsifying reports on the Syrian conflict, but this hasn’t stopped the online “global web movement” Avaaz, described by some criticsas “imperialist pimps of militarism,” from launching a campaign for a ‘no-fly zone’ to be implemented in Syria.
The following is reblogged from In Gaza:
“Avaaz describe themselves as a ‘global web movement to bring people-powered politics to decision-making everywhere’, and are fairly well known within human rights and development circles.
They had previously used their reach and status to drum up support for a ‘no-fly zone’ over Libya (a call which was ultimately realised, to disasterous effect), and this isn’t the first time they’ve called for a ‘no-fly zone’ over Syria either.
You can go here to read the full article. It makes a good case for the idea that Avaaz is in essence “helping to drum up public support for U.S. foreign policy,” and that perhaps this in reality is its sacrament or calling.
If what we are looking at here is another false flag attack, it could well be that the groundwork for it was laid earlier this month. That was when a draft resolution calling for another UN investigation into chemical weapons in Syria, and specifically mentioning chlorine gas, began to the circulated by the US at the UN Security, according to the New York Times.
The Syrian government has denied the latest accusations.
“We confirm that we would not use this type of weapon, and we don’t need to use it,” said a Syrian official quoted by Reuters.
You would think that with US officials having told so many lies about Russian invasions of Ukraine and what-not that it wouldn’t be necessary to go to the trouble of posting an article like this debunking these latest claims about Syria. Surely anybody with a lick of sense knows that the US doesn’t care one whit about the Syrian people–anymore than it cares about the Palestinians of Gaza–and that its only interest here is in regime change.
But the propaganda is so thick and heavy now, that large numbers of people are susceptible to the deception. Anyone who hasn’t been paying close attention to what’s been going in in Syria for the past four years–and let’s face it, a lot of people fall into that category–is probably going to be subject to a certain amount of confusion.
At some point, perhaps when the dollar crashes and the world moves to the Chinese yuan, the US will give up its ceaseless efforts to overthrow governments in one country after another.
