’Israel’ Admits: Two Held Captive in Gaza

An "Israeli" has been missing in the Gaza Strip for ten months, it was revealed on Thursday morning following the lifting of a gag order. One of the two settlers was named: Avraham Mengistu.

A senior military official said there was no current information on Mengistu's fate, and that he had initially been arrested by Hamas.

According to Yoav Mordechai, the coordinator of "Israeli" government activities, current information suggests that Mengistu is being held by Hamas. However, senior military officials said it was unclear whether this was the case.

A senior Palestinian official in the Gaza Strip who is familiar with the case told Ynet that Mengistu was held by Hamas in Gaza at one point and released him after realizing he was not a soldier.

Zionist security forces stationed in the area noticed the man after he had crossed the border, and forces were immediately dispatched to the area, including a helicopter and ground troops. Mengistu continued on his path into Gaza and never returned.

The lifting of the gag order came after Hamas leader Khaled Mashal stated Wednesday that that the Zionist entity had sent messages to the group through a European intermediary, asking the organization to return the bodies of two soldiers in their possession since the latest "Israeli" aggression on Gaza.
