The army continues operations against terrorists , destroys their arms, hideouts, thwarts infiltration attempts

Provinces - The army, backed by its air force, launched a large- scale operations against terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and other terrorist organizations across the country, where a number of their hideouts were destroyed and many of their members were killed.

Quneitra

A number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations were killed and injured and their arms and ammunition were destroyed during the army operations in Tranja village in the northern countryside of Ouneitra province, a military source told SANA.

The army artillery targeted terrorists’ dens in villages of Jabata al-Khashab and al-Rawadi, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

Damascus

In the southwestern countryside of Damascus, an army unit inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorist organization in personnel and equipment in special operations on their hideouts in al-Huseiniya farms, near Khan al-Shih farms.

Deir Ezor

The army air force destroyed three ammunition depots for ISIS terrorist organization in Deir Ezor city, leaving a number of its members killed and injured.

Raqqa

The army air force destroyed Saturday night a hideout of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization in Raqqa city while a number of their self-claimed leaders were meeting inside it, killing and injuring all terrorists inside the hideout, the source added.

Meanwhile, terrorist organizations admitted on their social media website the killing of what they called an ISIS leader of Saudi nationality with three of his guards.

Idleb

In the northern province of Idleb, units of the army thwarted terrorists’ attempts to infiltrate into Tal Al-A’war, Tal Khattab and Tal Hemka in the countryside of the province, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying their arms and equipment.

Aleppo

Army units destroyed positions of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in the neighborhoods of al-Khalediyeh, al-Rashidin, al-Aaziziyeh, al-Sheikh Saeed, al-Layramoun, al-Ansari, al-Maysar, al-Hilwaniyeh, Bani Zaid and al-Kastello in the city of Aleppo.

The operations in those areas left a number of terrorists killed and their vehicles and equipment destroyed.

In the western countryside of Aleppo province, dozens of terrorists were killed and a number of their vehicles were destroyed in operations that targeted their dens and supply routes in al-Mansoura village and in Daret Azza and Kafr Dael towns.

Other positions and supply routes of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were targeted in Hardatnin, Hreitan, al-Bab, al-Shweihna, Anadan, Aazaz city, Kafr Hamra village and al-Sheikh Suleiman in the northern countryside of Aleppo province. Several of the terrorists’ vehicles were destroyed.

An army unit killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in Abtin and Khan al-Asal on the southwestern outskirts of Aleppo City.

In the eastern countryside of the province, army units targeted dens and positions of ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy, killing scores of them and destroying their arms and ammunition.

Syria: Rockets of Hezbollah and Syrian army fired at terrorists' strongholds in Zabadani

Hezbollah fighters and Syrian army troops took control on Sunday over the Al-Zallah neighborhood and the related farms in south of Zabadani city, 50 Kilometers northwest of Damascus, Al-Manar TV correspondent to Syria reported.

The control was achieved after the terrorist groups operating in the area escaped as several of them were killed and wounded.

Hezbollah and army units continued their progress west of the city from Al-Zahra neighborhood following their control over the castle found in the area.

The Islamic Resistance of Hezbollah -- along with the Syrian national military -- launched a special operation against a camp for Al-Nusra Front takfiri group - Al-Qaeda branch in Syria, at the top of Bludan tower.

The operation destroyed one Al-Nusra tank and a vehicle equipped with 23 mm machine gun. It also left killed and wounded gunmen among al-Nusra garrison.

Hezbollah fighters and the Syrian national military are engaged in a wide-scale military campaign against the takfiri groups operating across Syria. Cleansing operations included so far Arsal barrens, Qalamoun region and Zabadani city.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah pledged to eliminate every terrorist group that threatens Lebanon's security, but noted that the time period of the operation can be only determined by commanders on the ground.
