Yemeni Forces Destroy 2 Other Saudi Warships: 10 in 10 weeks
(FNA) ~ Yemen’s army and popular forces targeted and destroyed two Saudi warships in the waters near Bab al-Mandab Strait on Monday, bringing the number of the Saudi vessels sent down in the waters offshore Yemen to 10.
The Saudi warships were reportedly two destroyers and were targeted by the Yemeni army missiles in the Al-Mukha coastal waters in the province of Ta’iz today.
The Yemeni popular forces said the sunken ships had repeatedly fired rockets at residential areas in Ta’iz province, inflicting casualties and destruction there.
Yemen’s army has thus far destroyed ten warships of the Saudi-led coalition forces in Bab al-Mandab Strait in the last several months.
Other Saudi battleships that were approaching Yemen’s coasts retreated fast following the attack.
The coast of Al-Mukha is located in Bab al-Mandab strait and the Saudi-led forces have been trying hard for several months now to win control over the coastal regions near the waterway.
On December 11, the Yemeni forces destroyed a Saudi warship in the Bab-Mandab Strait.
On December 5, the Yemeni forces targeted and destroyed a Saudi warship in the waters near Bab al-Mandab Strait.
On November 25, the Yemeni forces targeted and destroyed a Saudi warship in the waters near Bab al-Mandab Strait.
On November 15, Yemeni forces destroyed a Saudi-led coalition warship al-Mukha coast.
On November 7, Yemeni forces fired rockets at a Saudi-led coalition warship and destroyed it near al-Mukha coast.
On October 25, the Yemeni forces hit and destroyed another Saudi warship in Bab al-Mandab Strait
On October 11, another ship which belonged to the Egyptian army and named al-Mahrousa was destroyed by Yemeni missiles in the coastal waters near al-Mukha coast.
On October 9, Yemeni army and popular forces also fired missiles at a Saudi warship, and destroyed it in Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The warship was wrecked off the Southwestern coast of Yemen, in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.
Over 150 Saudi-Led Forces Killed in Yemeni Army’s Missile Attack near Bab al-Mandeb
(FNA) ~ The Saudi-led forces sustained heavy casualties in the Yemeni army’s missile attack on the Bab al-Mandeb region in Southwestern Yemen.
The Yemeni forces missiles hit the Saudi-led coalition’s command headquarters in Sha’ab al-Jen region near Bab al-Mandeb, killing over 150 coalition servicemen, including 23 Saudi troops, 9 UAE officers and soldiers, seven Moroccan officers and 42 Blackwater troops.
It said that the burnt bodies of 146 Saudi-led military troops have been transferred to the city of Aden and Saudi Arabia has sent a warship to Ta’iz to transfer the wounded from Bab al-Mandeb region.
Earlier today, the United Arab Emirates acknowledged that two of its army colonels were killed in the attack.
Colonel Sultan Mohammed bin Havidan al-Kotobi was among the over 150 Saudi-led troops killed in the Yemeni forces’ attack on the coalition’s military positions in the Southwestern Yemen.
The UAE armed forces also acknowledged that another army high-ranking officer named Colonel Sultan Mohamed Ali al-Kotobi was killed in the province of Ta’iz in Yemen on Sunday.
Meantime, Saudi army’s Colonel Abdullah al-Sahyan was killed in Yemeni missile attack near Al-Amri military base in Bab al-Mandeb region.
Al-Sahyan succumbed to his injuries before a Saudi-led coalition helicopter could transfer him to a nearby hospital.
