QUNEITRA- As part of the Israeli enemy’s support for the terrorist organizations which have been waging a violent attack in the area of al-Amal Farms in Quneitra countryside, an Israeli aircraft targeted a position in Tal al-Shaar area on Saturday, according to SANA.
A military source told SANA that Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted a massive attack carried out by terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra on a number of military points and positions in the direction of Hadar-Mashati Hadar -Tal Ahmar in Quneitra countryside.
The source also said that the Israeli enemy’s air force assisted the attack by Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups by attacking a position in Quneitra countryside and by facilitating the movement of terrorists and their weapons and equipment within occupied territory.
The source added that the clashes between the army and the terrorists are still ongoing, noting that army units and the popular defense groups inflicted heavy losses in personnel and munitions upon terrorists.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, SANA reporter said that an Israeli drone fired a rocket on a position in Tal al-Shaar area to the east of Juba village in Quneitra countryside, causing material damage.
The reporter had said that army units in cooperation with popular defense groups clashed with terrorists, most of whom from Jabhat al-Nusra, who attacked military posts in al-Amal farms and al-Hamriyeh areas to the south of Hadar town in the northern countryside of Quneitra, and that the attack was foiled after inflicting heavy losses in munitions and killing a number of terrorists including leaders.
The aforementioned terrorist attack coincided with firing tens of artillery shells on locals’ houses in Harfa village in the northern countryside of Quneitra, causing material damage to properties.
Jabat al-Nusra Terrorists Wounded in Syria Taken to Israeli Hospitals
(Fars News Agency, 11 September 2016) ~ Several Israeli ambulances entered Syria’s Southern province of Quneitra and transferred those terrorists injured in clashes with Syrian Army troops to their hospitals in the occupied part of the Golan Heights, media sources said.
“First, Israeli warplanes bombed Syrian government’s positions near Quneitra to back the terrorists of Fatah al-Sham (the newly-formed al-Qaeda-linked terrorists group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) who had attacked the Syrian army positions to prevail over the government’s position,” the Arabic service of RT reported.
“After Fatah al-Sham’s attacks were repelled by the Syrian soldiers, seven Israeli ambulances entered the battlefield and transferred a number of wounded terrorists to Israeli hospitals in the occupied Golan Heights,” RT added.
On Saturday, the Israeli air force violated the Syrian airspace again and launched airstrikes on an army base in Quneitra province hours after Fatah al-Sham Front started a massive raid in the same province in Southwestern Syria.
The Israeli army also targeted a Syrian military unit in the Golan Heights last week after it alleged that the army had fired several mortal rounds at targets in Israel.
Fatah al-Sham kicked off a new wave of heavy clashes with the Syrian army in Quneitra province.
Jordan Closes Border to Saudi-Backed Militants in Syria, Forces Wounded Terrorists to Go to Israel
(Fars News Agency, 24 August 2016) ~ The Saudi-backed militants blasted Jordan for closing its borders to the terrorists who have been wounded in clashes with the Syrian army and popular forces.
The militants said Jordan has sealed its borders after the US and Russia discussions over an agreement to set up an anti-terrorism intelligence center in Amman and the explosion of two suicide cars in the Arab country.
Meantime, Saudi Arabia, fearing that the alliance among Iran, Russia and Turkey will block the terrorists’ supply route from Turkey, seeks to maintain its role in the Syrian crisis, specially in the Southern Dara’a province.
A media official in Dara’a said that the Jordanian border guards are preventing the passage of wounded terrorists through the Jordan-Syria border and are forced to be sent to Israel for treatment.
Medical sources announced in August that the Israeli hospitals are receiving the terrorists who have been injured in clashes with the Syrian forces after Jordan closed its borders to them.
“Several militants have lost their lives after Jordan closed its borders (since 40 days ago) and field hospitals are also facing a lack of medical personnel,” Jamal al-Sayasenah, a medical source close to the terrorist groups in Syria, was quoted as saying by Rai al-Yom news website.
“A number of field hospitals operating under the terrorists in Dara’a and Southern Syria have been forced to send the wounded militants to the occupied territories to be treated at Israeli border hospitals and return to Syria again,” he added.
The American daily Wall Street Journal had also reported last year that Israel had opened its doors with Syria in order to provide medical treatment to the gunmen of the ISIL, al-Nusra Front, Al-Qaeda Takfiri groups who were wounded in the ongoing fighting against the Syrian army.
The Wall Street Journal reported at the time that al-Nusra Front “hasn’t bothered Israel since seizing the border area last summer” along the Golan Heights.
Those Takfiri elements “who control some two-thirds to 90% of the border on the Golan aren’t attacking Israel. This gives you some basis to think that they understand who is their real enemy – maybe it isn’t Israel”, Amos Yadlin, the former military intelligence chief, was quoted by the Wall Street Journal as saying.
The fact that the Israeli-Syria border area along the occupied Golan Heights has remained largely quiet has sparked accusations that the Takfiri operatives are backed by the Zionist entity.
