GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Basem Naim, the PA minister of health in Gaza, said Saturday that Israel had lost the confrontation strategically during its war on the Gaza Strip, deploring the international community for giving Israel the green light to commit its crimes.

During a workshop organized by the Palestinian center for studies and research, Dr. Naim underlined that the battle fought by the Gaza people is a milestone in the history of conflict with the Israeli occupation.

The minister added that the Israeli war opened a window for many peoples living under oppression to revolt against injustice and to express their outrage at what happened in Gaza, noting that for the first time, the Israeli crimes against children and women were documented in sound and picture.

He underscored that it is inappropriate to say that some of the victims killed by Israel in Gaza are civilians because every defender of his home is a civilian, pointing out that the atrocities committed in Gaza are classified as "war crimes" or more than that because it targeted health sectors and ambulances, and killed doctors and paramedics.

In another context, an Israeli professor called Avi Feinberg expressed Israel's fears of the spirit of faith enjoyed by the Hamas Movement, which was clearly reflected during the Israeli war on Gaza.

In an article published Friday by the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, the professor of communications at the Tel Aviv University admitted that Hamas scares Israel because this Movement does not have any impediment preventing it from fighting its enemies anywhere even on the streets.

Commenting on the last Israeli war on Gaza, Feinberg described it as a Jewish religious war in every sense of the word.
