CAIRO, (PIC)-- Arab Foreign Ministers meeting in Cairo on Thursday decided to file a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice against the Israeli occupation for its drive to Judaize Jerusalem.
A diplomatic source at the Arab League said that the ministers had three issues on their agenda; dangers engulfing Jerusalem, discussion of the report by the committee commissioned to investigate Israeli war crimes during the war on Gaza and to reach a common Arab stand towards the latest developments in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The Ministers called on the UN Security Council, the Quartet committee and concerned regional and international organisations to intervene to stop Israel measures in east Jerusalem, which the ministers said aim to Isolate Jerusalem, uproot its Arab residents and Judaize the city.
They also called for financial support to help Palestinian residents of Jerusalem withstand Israeli pressures to leave.
The Ministers also decided to form a committee of legal experts to confront the Israeli occupation practices in Jerusalem.
They called for an intensification of the efforts to bring Israelis accused of committing crimes against humanity and genocide to justice.
The meeting was attended by ministers of half the member countries, the other half was represented by ministerial officials who had full authority to vote.
