OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Palestinian ministers and lawmakers imprisoned in Israeli jails called on former PA chief and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas’s security apparatuses to stop torturing under-secretary-general of the cabinet Aziz Kayed and to release him immediately.

“We are following with great concern the ongoing torture, the violations of human rights and public freedoms, and the humiliation of human and national dignity taking place in investigation centers of those who call themselves protectors of the national project,” the Palestinian officials said in a letter leaked from Israeli jails.

The officials noted that a number of ex-detainees affirmed that Aziz was exposed to severe torture in Abbas’s jails.

In a new development, the security apparatuses in the West Bank kidnapped on Friday three Palestinians affiliated with Hamas who were released from Israeli jails, while the Israeli occupation forces reportedly kidnapped a citizen released recently from Abbas’s jails.

In another context, Abbas’s unconstitutional government in the West Bank issued a decision to dismiss 17 teachers from the ministry of education because of their affiliation with Hamas. It also fired a civil servant working as an administrator in Yatta sport club in Al-Khalil.
