GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian ministry of prisoners’ affairs reported Tuesday that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) kidnapped more than 57 Palestinians including eight children under age 18 during the last two days in different West Bank areas.
In a statement, the ministry said that 15 citizens were kidnapped in occupied Jerusalem including director of Jerusalem file Hatem Abdelkader and member of the commerce chamber Mustafa Abu Zahra who both were released on bail after several hours.
It added that the IOA also kidnapped 16 citizens in Qalqiliya including three children and dozens others in different parts of the West Bank.
Information director of the ministry Riyadh Al-Ashqar said that Israel kidnaps Palestinians from different social strata on a daily basis, calling on the international community to intervene to stop the arbitrary kidnapping policy practiced by Israel.
In a separate incident, one Palestinian teenager was seriously wounded and another one was kidnapped when a large number of Israeli troops invaded amid gunfire Arroub refugee camp, north of Al-Khalil.
Palestinian local sources said that the troops broke into the alleys of the camp chasing a group of children and young men and raided a number of homes.
Another Israeli military force stormed at dawn Wednesday the village of Burka, north of Nablus, and kidnapped nine Palestinian young men after raiding and ransacking a number of homes.
It was also reported that Israeli troops during a military incursion into Qabatiya town kidnapped a Palestinian university student after ransacking his home.
Other two Palestinian minors from Duheisheh refugee camp were kidnapped by Israeli troops at a checkpoint at the outskirts of Beit Jala.
