OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Aqsa Mosque guards foiled an attempt by an extremist Jewish settler to sneak into the mosque on Friday afternoon, according to local sources.
The settler had a large kitchen knife and it is suspected that he intended to assault worshipers in the mosque.
He was handed over to Israeli occupation police.
Meanwhile, there are initial reports that at least ten Palestinians were injured when around 300 extremist Jewish settlers were escorted by Israeli occupation police into the Sheikh Jarrah suburb, in which settlers are strengthening their presence by confiscating Palestinian homes.
