Last week, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said it loudly.
The West is doing its best to “accelerate” the issuance of the final verdict in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri’s case, the verdict supposed by the West to be the “tool” through which the Israeli enemy could finally achieve its goals of “ending” Hezbollah, the unachieved goals since July 2006.
According to Sayyed Nasrallah, the United States is pressing the Special Tribunal for Lebanon to accelerate the issuance of the verdict, the already written verdict, the verdict awaiting the “correct political timing.”
Yet, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is still speaking of “professionalism” and claiming no political pressures are taking place.
After press reports quoted on Wednesday the STL President Judge Antonio Cassese as saying that the indictment will be released in December, the head of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's Outreach Office, Wajd Ramadan, rushed to deny the statements as inaccurate and false.
According to Ramadan, Cassese had stated during the opening of the STL's hosting of the second media forum on reporting on international justice in The Hague: "I hope the indictment will be issued, but I don't know when. It will be released when it's ready."
During the mentioned forum, Cassesse denied as expected being under political pressure, but called on the various Lebanese political sides to exercise restraint and cooperate with the Court, in what appeared to be a reference to Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah’s call to boycott the tribunal and its investigators.

Meanwhile, and despite Sayyed Nasrallah’s call, some Lebanese, including Prime Minister Saad Hariri, are still portraying the tribunal as a red line that cannot be violations and insisting that the Lebanese commitment to the so-called international justice cannot be abandoned.
In this context, Hariri told BBC that he will not cut links with UN investigators probing the 2005 assassination of his father, despite demands to that effect from Hezbollah.
Hariri also renewed his backing for the Special tribunal for Lebanon regardless of Hezbollah warnings that an indictment could plunge the country into crisis. "The work of the tribunal is ongoing and there are many investigators in Lebanon, and they are doing their own work," he said.
Hariri said "Yes," when asked whether he gave 100-percent backing to the tribunal.
Hariri insisted, in his interview with the BBC, that dialogue was the best way out of the current standoff with Hezbollah and downplayed the risk of unrest. "I think what is dangerous is not to hold dialogue about the issues that are really difficult in the country, and I think this is one of the difficult issues in Lebanon," he said.
In a separate interview with the British daily The Times, Hariri said he does not believe that Syrian President Bashar Assad had anything to do with his father's murder.
Meanwhile, Hariri’s so-called March14 bloc reiterated commitment to the tribunal on Wednesday, launching a fierce campaign against the “other bloc,” in reference to the national opposition.

“Those behind this campaign believe they can force the Lebanese to back down from their principles and surrender to Hezbollah conditions, which is the side leading this campaign,” the statement read.
“They are wrong in their belief as no one has the power to turn back the hands of time and eliminate the national achievements accomplished by the independence intifada,” the March 14 forces claimed.
That’s it… No one has the power to turn back the hands of time. No one has the power to eliminate the “national achievements” accomplished, including the STL. Perhaps, no one has the power to prevent the explosion of the country.
The tribunal is “the” red line. Everything else becomes secondary!
US Gives Additional $10 Million to STL!
After the United States was reportedly interfering in the work of the “independent” tribunal and pressing its Prosecutor to accelerate the timing of the issuance of its final verdict, Washington officially and proudly announced on Monday it has decided to give an additional $10 billion to the tribunal, without any explanation.
"Efforts to discredit, hinder, or influence the tribunal's work must not be tolerated," US ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said in a statement.
Rice said the tribunal can "help deter further violence and put an end to a tragic era of impunity for political assassinations in Lebanon."
"Until Lebanon is able to achieve this, it will be very difficult to secure the peace and stability that all Lebanese citizens deserve," Rice said.
