GAZA, (PIC)-- The Egyptian authorities banned Palestinian writer and journalist Mustafa Assawaf from leaving the Gaza Strip through Rafah border crossing for Iran in order to participate in the founding meeting of the Islamic press league to be held in Tehran.
Sawaf expressed his dismay at the Egyptian authorities' persistence in preventing some Palestinian citizens from leaving Gaza for alleged security reasons, stating that he had never committed any wrongdoing or showed hostility against Egypt and its security.

He appealed to the Egyptian revolution's youth to necessarily be up to the real change they made and take action against the policy of restrictions and humiliation pursued by the authorities in their country against the Palestinians at Rafah border crossing and Cairo airport.
