Panetta was welcomed by Jewish billionaire Haim Saban, Chairman of the Saban Forum. The event was moderated by Kenneth M. Pollack PhD, director Saban Center for Middle East Policy. Pollack is a former CIA intelligence analyst. He was indicted by US government for providing secret information on Iran to Israel Lobby (AIPAC) employees Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman. However, in 2009, the indictment was dropped under pressure from Jewish organizations.
Panetta, as a ‘Friend of Israel’ told the audience that he is worried sick seeing Israel losing many of its regional allies and increasingly isolated among the United Nations member nations. He advised Israeli leaders to try to repair their diplomatic ties with Turkey and Egypt and wait for the ‘friendly regimes’ to come in power in Syria, Iraq, Iran and Lebanon. Iran under King Reza Shah was the first Muslim country to recognize Israel in 1948 followed by the Kemalist Turkey in 1949. In 1980, Iran broke diplomatic relations with both United States and Israel. Turkey, Egypt and Jordan maintain diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity.
“Unfortunately, over the past year, we’ve seen Israel’s isolation from its traditional security partners in the region grow, and the pursuit of a comprehensive Middle East peace has effectively been put on hold,” Panetta said. However, to the great pleasure of his Zionist audience, he added that the Zionist regime was not entirely to blame for its difficult position and referred to an “international campaign” designed to isolate the country.
One wonders why there is a need of “international campaign” to isolate already delegitimized Israel?
Panetta, like a good Israeli poodle, committed American blood and money to protect Israel from Iran achieving nuclear capability which will result in death of Israel being the only nuclear bully in the region.
“United States remains committed to Israel’s security and will prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. The option of possible military action had not been ruled out by President Barack Obama,” Panetta told the Zionazi crowed.
In January 2010, Leon Panetta visited Israel as director of CIA. During his visit he warned Benji Netanyahu against venturing into a unilateral attack against the Islamic Republic. Panetta was later quoted as saying that Bibi “understands that if Israel goes it alone, it mean trouble“.
In 1991, Rep. Leon Panetta was a member of the Congressional group which visited Israel on a fully-paid trip by Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The other members of the group included Nancy Pelosi, George Miller and Rep. Martin Russo.
