Mortar shells hit Golan Heights on Wednesday as Israeli Defense Minister was making an inspection tour there.
The Second Israeli channel reported on Thursday morning that the mortar shells hit near the motorcade of Barak.
The channel said that Barak was on his way to attend a security meeting over the situation in Syria with the head of Israeli General Staff Benny Gantz when the shells were launched and hit near the defense minister motorcade.
However, the no casualties were reported, according to the Israeli channel, which said that that Barak continued his tour and attended the meeting.
During his inspections tour to the situation on the border with Syria, Barak said that the Israeli occupation army was “ready to confront any danger which could follow the fall of the Syrian regime,” the Israeli channel reported.
