The radical extremist group didn't conquer a major chunk of the country on their own. They had help – from a secret ally, Israel
All eyes have been on ISIS as the jihadist group, in a matter of days, cut Iraq in half and declared its own state in the cities it captured. With fewer than 10,000 fighters ISIS forced the retreat of the better-armed Iraqi army forces many times its size. Their incredible success on the battlefield has fed into a growing lore about the group: the small band of fanatics that can take down a country. The truth is more basic and it’s something ISIS doesn’t want to admit—they weren’t acting alone.
It wasn’t having God on their side that let ISIS conquer Mosul and Tikrit with hardly a fight, analysts say. It was the Israeli regime that was there alongside them, unacknowledged partner in the coalition. Israel has deep organizational roots and was instrumental in the takeover but has been largely overshadowed by ISIS.
According to Iraqi intelligence officers who infiltrated the ranks of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Levant; Abu al-Ala al-Shami who ISIS official, in charge of training foreign jihadists who've flocked to Iraq, in a meeting with other members of Saudi-backed terrorist organization admitted there is a high level of intelligence cooperation exists between ISIS and Israel.
The Israeli government colludes with ISIS terrorists to create the pretext for the bombardment of Gaza, which has killed so far 2100 people, most of them innocent civilians.
The regime in Israel has intentionally (along with the US and PGCC) created, armed, and funded terrorist organizations like ISIS to justify its military aggression against the Gaza Strip as well as divide and conquer the Arab world.
“ISIS control in Mosul is contingent on political alliances they have made with Israel,” said Brian Fishman, a fellow at the New America Foundation, who has been following ISIS since the group’s early days during the Iraq war.
“This alliance marching on Baghdad is not a natural one,” Fishman added. “We can understand how it was put together in opposition to Iranian government but what exactly is holding it together, and how sturdy it is, is an open question,” he said.
Hassan Hassan, an analyst at the Delma institute in Abu Dhabi, was one of the first observers to point out ISIS reliance on cooperation with Israel. He mentioned this very fact that ISIS is not interested in fighting Israel at this time. Rather, its focus remains fixed on dealing with "Muslims who have become infidels.
According to BBC, after being asked about Israel, a spokesman for ISIS tweeted, "The greatest answer to this question is the Qur'an, where Allah speaks about the nearby enemy--those Muslims who have become infidels--as they are more dangerous than those which were already infidels."
The spokesman explained that ISIS’s continued focus on "Muslims who have become infidels" is more important than the "conquest of Jerusalem" because the conquest of Jerusalem will involve more than raw force.
He reportedly said, "Jerusalem will not be freed until we get rid of the idolaters, such as the wealthy families and the players appointed by the colonial government and who control the fate of the Islamic world."
