AL-SUWAYDAA`: DEFENSE FORCES AMBUSH ISIS VULTURES IN THE DESERTL; HOMS: NEWS AREAS LIBERATED; DAYR EL-ZOR, ISIS TAKES BIG HITS

Koo’ Hidr Area in the Lijaat region: The Popular Defense Committees racked up another spectacular operation capturing the ISIS rodents last night while they were coming in from the arid eastern sector. According to our sources, 3 rodents were killed and several wounded. They were seen scurrying back into the eastern desert in a haphazard manner.

HOMS: The SAA has made significant advances in the eastern region of this province in an effort to isolate the ISIS rodents in Palmyra. The SAA controls the highest point of the Al-Hayyaan Mountain Range, Al-Hayyaal Mountain, standing at 939 meters and which overlooks the city. Yesterday, ISIS tried desperately to retake the summit with artillery fire followed by an assault with 10 pickups all armed with Doschka cannons. The SAA foiled the attack by pinning down the center of the assault as roving rangers armed with Kornet anti-tank launchers picked out the stragglers one by one. When dawn rose, the scene was one of black smoke and the smell of cordite. Field assessments concluded that the rodents lost 13 of their litter-mates as evidence of scores wounded was gleaned from the number of bandage wrappers found on the ground with hypodermics interspersed between the rocks. A real mess.

Al-Qaddaahaat Valley: The SAA has taken control over 2 elevations, one at 853 meters and the other at 600 meters.

DAYR EL-ZOR:

Al-Tayyim Gas Field: At the Al-Tharda Mountain Axis, Panorama and the Driving School 6 kms south of the city. The SAA’s crack Republican Guard units inflicted horrific fatalities on ISIS destroying 2 pickups with 23mm cannons and a loaded tanker truck destined for Turkey.

Al-Tayyim Gas Field at the Petroleum Technological Institute: In an unrelated operation, SAA ambushed a pack of ISIS rats on the Al-Shoolaa Road. No details available.

Al-Bughayliyya Village at Al-Jazeera University in the West. A truck carrying rats was assaulted by the SAA and PDC killing all occupants.

Huwayjat Sakr: 5 rodents confirmed killed and a pickup with cannon destroyed. On the truck was a mortar launcher which was preserved by our forces for use in killing more Wahhabis.

Dayr El-Zor Airbase: An assault by ISIS lasting 48 hours was finally repelled today. I have no details.

Al-Sinaa’ah Quarter: Firefight with no details.

Al-Maqaabir Mountain: (Mountain of Cemeteries). These were killed in fighting with the SAA:

Al-Huwayqa Quarter: A pickup with 23mm cannon destroyed with a Kornet rocket.
