small and handy !!!

43 years ago Israel grew-up five time its size
Jerusalem and the Golan became Jewish
even up to the Suez Canal.........

43 Years ago, I was 20 and I have had no car

Last week I bought a new car and my insurance
asked me to place a Satellite-tracking-device
which can locate my car anywhere in Europe....
just in case it is stolen ,or if my wife would like to know
where I am hiding ..........

A fine gadget which does not cost you much,
you could even fix it on your bicycle , or your own child.

What does this device has to do with the 6 Days War ?? Not much !!
except that all Arab Army have since renewed their tanks
whether to fight Israel .................or to fight their own people.....

The difference between 1967 and today is that now,
most Arab-armys have their tanks bought from the WEST !!!!
Which means ,
that most probably MI6+CIA+ Mossadspan>
have installed inside all those Arab Tanks the same tracking-divice I have now in my new car......

Meaning that today , any Western-intelligence -agency
knows where are all the Arab-Tanks..........of any country or any regime !!!!
Like my wife,
who can know, if my car is parked outside the home of Penelope Cruz
or at the week-end-house of Claudia Shiffer.
Wake up Arab-generals and go look up for those divices !!!
unless you are paid to keep them there.

I thought that Peace is achieved only after a final-victory

and I still, today , see not............ how else it is possible !!!

Haneyya: Hamas united

[ 11/06/2011 - 07:11 AM ]
GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian premier in Gaza Ismail Haneyya has asserted that there is no internal rift within his movement, describing it as united as ever.
He lashed out at media speculations that spoke about differences within Hamas leadership.
Haneyya, addressing the Friday congregation, refused negotiations with Israeli occupation, adding that there would be no surrendering of national rights.
The premier urged all Palestinian factions and forces to stick to national reconciliation and unity.

Comment:

I hope so, though I am afraid of opprtionists in Turkey, in Muslem brothers in both Egypt and Syria who would sell Hamas for power

Erdogan Poised to 3rd Victory in Turkish Election

    Local Editor
Turkish people are set to go to polls on Sunday, with wide expectations that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s party is to win a third straight term in power.

According to pollsters, Erdogan's Justice and Development Party (AKP) is expected to cruise to victory with between 45 and 50 percent of the parliamentary vote, enough to form its third one-party government since 2002.

It took 47 percent in 2007 parliamentary elections.

Erdogan addressed supporters on Friday in the eastern cities of Erzurum and Agri. He urged them to deliver an AKP majority in return for "further democracy, fundamental rights and freedoms".

Erdogan is expected to return to Ankara, the capital, before travelling on Saturday to his home city of Istanbul, where he is standing as a deputy.
He has pledged to draft a new constitution that he says would enhance individual freedoms and make Turkey more democratic, if he secures a large enough majority to do so.

But his opponents, including the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), accuse the ruling party, which mixes economic liberalism with Islamic-rooted social conservatism, of seeking to consolidate their grip on power.
They say that a new constitution should be agreed in concert with all parties and with the country at large.

Candidates from 15 parties, as well as many independent candidates, are standing for election to Turkey's 550-seat parliament in provinces across the country.
But parties need to win at least a 10 per cent share of the national vote to be elected to parliament.

Political campaigning must end by 6 pm local time (1500 GMT) on Saturday, according to Turkish election law.
More than 50 million people are eligible to vote in Sunday's election.

Gates Slams NATO, Warns of “Dim” Future

    Local Editor
US Defense Secretary Robert Gates slammed NATO nations for what he said were shortages in military spending, saying there would be “a dim if not dismal future” unless more member nations scaled up their participation in the alliance’s activities.

Gates who is to retire at the end of this month said: "The mightiest military alliance in history is only 11 weeks into an operation against a poorly armed regime in a sparsely populated country.
"Yet many allies are beginning to run short of munitions, requiring the US, once more, to make up the difference”, Gates said in Brussels in his final policy speech as Pentagon chief.

He added that alliance-led operations in Afghanistan and Libya were "serious" examples of shortcomings in the allies' military capabilities and political will.

Gates also warned of "a real possibility for a dim, if not dismal future for the transatlantic alliance".
He criticized "a lack of will, much of it from a lack of resources in an era of austerity" where the US is left to bridge the gaps.

NATO's campaign in Libya had "laid bare" the alliance's shortcomings, even though it is a "mission in Europe's neighborhood deemed to be in Europe's vital interest", Gates , a 67-year-old former CIA chief who has served four and a half years as defense secretary said.

Tawakkol Karman – Yemen’s woman revolutionary

    Posted on |

Tawakkol Karman 32, is a Yemeni woman journalist and chairperson of Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC). She is one of the leaders of the mass anti-government movement in Yemen. She has been ignored by the so-called ‘civilized West’press because she is ‘different’ from the western brainwashed apologetic Zionist Western media ‘darlings’ like Irshad Manji, the Canadian lesbian Muslim reformer or former Dutch MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Somalia-born anti-Islam neocon.

Tawakkol Karman is proud of her faith, wears Hijab and hates to be an apologetic Muslimah. Could she be another ’Islamist’ like Safynaz Kazen, the Egyptian Muslim journalist or Professor Zahra Rahnavard, wife of Mir Hossein Mousavi, who lost to Dr. Ahmadinejad in June 2009 election or Zainab Al-Ghazali, the Egyptian women’s right activist? Only future will tell. Tawakkol Karman, mother of three, was warned by President Ali Abdullah Saleh (now living in exile in Saudi Arabia) through her brother that if she doesn’t control herself, she will be killed.

Tawakkol Karman, in her column published in British daily Guardian (April 8, 2011) wrote:” We are in the first stage of change in our country, and the feeling among the revolutionaries is that the people of Yemen will find solutions for our problems once the regime has gone, because the regime itself is the cause of most of them. A new Yemen awaits us, with a better future for all. We are not blind to reality, but the fact is that the revolution has created social tranquillity across the country as the people put their differences to one side and tackle the main issue together – no mean feat, given that there are an estimated 70m weapons in Yemen (21 million Yemenis on an average own three guns per person)”.
However, she also showed her lack of world politics and the Judeo-Christian agenda against Muslim world. She appealed to the two anti-Muslim colonial powers, the US and EU, for help.

“I call on the United States and the European Union to tell Saleh that he must leave now, in response to the demands of his people. They should end all support for his regime, especially that which is used to crush peaceful opposition – tear gas canisters have “Made in America” on them. They should freeze the Saleh family’s assets and those of Saleh’s henchmen and return them to the people,” she wrote.
Both the US and Israel may be forced to accept a new regime in Yemen – but like in Tunisia and Egypt – they would like the new regime to be a continuation of Saleh’s submission to US-Israel. Israel-Firster Sen. Joe Lieberman had made that clear last year.

Washington, on behlaf of Israel, have been creating fear of Tehran among its neighboring countries since the collapse of USSR influence in the region in 1990. Yemen’s Bab el-Mandab site, is very important strategically to Israel, China and Iran. The site, between Yemen, Djibouti, and Eritrea connects the Red Sea with Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea. Oil and other exports from the Persian Gulf must pass through Bab el-Mandab before entering the Suez Canal. A very good reason for US/NATO to petrol the waters and control oil supply to China and protect Israel from its hostile neighbors.

Jordan, Israel affirm resumption of Egyptian gas supply, Egypt denies

Jordan, Israel affirm resumption of Egyptian gas supply
    [ 11/06/2011 - 07:51 AM ]

AMMAN, (PIC)-- Jordanian official sources and Hebrew media affirmed that the supply of Egyptian gas to both Jordan and Israel was renewed as of Friday night after one and half month of halt due to an explosion that targeted the pipeline in northern Sinai.
Jordanian minister of energy and mineral resources Khaled Tukan said that the natural gas supply resumed for the first time after the pipeline explosion on 27 April.
He said in a statement carried by the official Jordanian news agency Petra that the Egyptian gas supply would reach 70 million cubic feet per day within the few coming days.
For its part, the Hebrew radio said that EMG, which imports the gas from Egypt, announced resumption of the gas exports but said, ”The pressure in the pipeline will be restored to its full level gradually in the coming days”.
Egypt supplies Jordan with 80% of its needs to produce electricity while Israel depends on Egyptian gas for the production of 40% of its electricity.

Egypt denies resuming gas supply to Israel

    [ 08/06/2011 - 08:50 PM ]

CAIRO, (PIC)-- The Egyptian oil ministry has denied media rumors that Egypt resumed Tuesday pumping gas to Israel.

The pipelines exporting the natural gas to Israel and Jordan were sabotaged three times during the popular protests that successfully ousted the former regime headed by Hosni Mubarak.
Ministry sources said damage incurred require importing parts from abroad before pipelines are up and running.

Reuters said that gas exporter East Mediterranean Company had announced resuming gas exports to Israel after stalling that has lasted over a month.

Oil minister Abdullah Gharab denied that political reasons were behind the disruption of gas trade with Israel.

Israel said it would resort to international arbitration if Egypt raised gas prices as it has threatened.
The occupying state receives 45 percent of its gas needs from the pipeline running through Sinai at a cheap price compared to world gas rates.

Israel's relations with Egypt have deteriorated after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to surrender to Egypt's hike in gas prices following the explosions.

Egypt's policies towards Israel have taken drastic turns since the switch of power that conluded the revolutions.

The country has reopened Wednesday its once blockaded borders with the Gaza Strip after four days of closure over technical reasons.

Also on Tuesday, protesters gathered near the Israeli embassy in Cairo demanding a complete stop to the export of Egypt's natural gas to Israel.

The protesters also condemned the infiltration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Jewish extremists a day earlier as well as Israel's policies against the occupied Palestinians.

    Palestinian Divisions on statehood

    by Stephen Lendman

On June 9, Haaretz writer Barak Ravid headlined, “Palestinian leadership divided over plan to seek UN recognition,” saying:
Senior Palestinian Authority (PA) officials are “sharply divided over the unilateral move to seek” UN General Assembly recognition in September. Abbas wants it. Others don’t “because they believe (it) could do more harm than good to their cause,” hurting Israel perhaps but not helping themselves.

Those opposed include Prime Minister Salam Fayyad (a former World Bank/IMF official closely tied to Israeli/Washington/Western interests), former Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia, and former Palestinian UN envoy Nasser al-Qudwa.

Ravid said al-Qudwa’s “opposition is particularly significant because he is considered the most experienced Palestinian official (in) dealing with the United Nations.” He’s also a possible presidential candidate.

At issue is strong Israeli/Washington opposition in contrast to most other countries. Last March, in fact, Israel told UN Security Council members and other prominent EU countries it will act unilaterally if the General Assembly grants de jure membership in September inside 1967 borders, 22% of historic Palestine.

At the same time, Rafael Barak, Director General of Israel’s Foreign Ministry, cabled over 30 Israeli embassies, telling them to lodge high-level diplomatic protests against Palestinian efforts for recognition, claiming (without justification that) doing so violates Oslo and may cause internal violence.

Foreign Ministry sources also said no response decision was taken on if de jure membership is granted. Some sources suggest it will refuse recognition and more, including annexing West Bank settlements, all East Jerusalem, closed military zones, restricted tourist locations, and Israeli commercial developments, leaving isolated urban areas and worthless scrub land for Palestine.
Although Obama told the General Assembly in September 2010 he favored Palestinian statehood in a year, he categorically rejects PA officials seeking it unilaterally to let Israel decide its terms, size, locations and timetable. In other words, he supports Israeli veto power of Palestinian sovereignty, an unacceptable condition under international law.

On May 19, in fact, a new White House.gov site headlined, “President Obama: Advancing Israel’s Security and Supporting Peace,” saying:

“Our commitment to Israel’s security is unshakable,” stating he wants “core issues (including Palestinian de jure UN membership and statehood) negotiated and resolved in direct talks between the parties,” despite all previously failed efforts, assuring no possibility of success this time.

He then “emphasized that a vote at the United Nations will never create an independent Palestinian state” even though defying a two-thirds majority General Assembly affirmation is illegal. More on that below.

Moreover, last December 15, Congress (by voice vote) passed HR 1765: “Supporting a negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and condemning unilateral measures to declare or recognize a Palestinian state, and for other purposes,” including:

“affirm(ing) that the United States would deny recognition to any unilaterally declared Palestinian state and veto any (Security Council resolution) to establish or recognize (one) outside of an agreement by the two parties.”

However, former PLO legal advisor Professor Francis Boyle said Washington earlier provisionally recognized Palestine as an independent nation. According to UN Charter Article 80(1), it can’t reverse its position by vetoing a Security Council (SC) resolution calling for Palestine’s UN admission.
Any veto is illegal, subject to further SC action under the Charter’s Chapter VI. Ultimately, the SC only recommends admissions. The General Assembly affirms them by a two-thirds majority.

It can also enact a complete international statehood legal system, requiring all members refrain from recognizing Israel’s illegal occupation. Moreover, UN Charter Article 80(1) and others empower the General Assembly to recognize Palestinian statehood and take all necessary measures to end Israel’s illegal occupation. It’s high time that happened, spurning Israeli/Washington pressure to stop it by affirming status quo illegalities.

On June 8, Boyle’s Countercurrents article headlined, “The Case for Palestine’s UN Membership,” summarizing key issues in the debate as follows:
    • “On November 15, 1988, the Palestinian National Council (PNC)….proclaimed the Palestinian Declaration of Independence that created the independent state of Palestine.”
    • Today, about 130 or more nations recognize it de jure, including most European ones.
    • Only massive US pressure so far blocked it.
    • The International Court of Justice (ICJ) also recognizes a de jure independent Palestine.
    • Currently, it has UN Observer State Status excluding only the right to vote, what official September recognition will grant.
    • Only Washington’s threatened Security Council veto prevents de jure membership, “which is clearly illegal because it would violate a solemn and binding pledge given” not to do so against any state seeking UN membership.
    • Whether this September or later, Palestine will “become a full-fledged UN Member State.” Neither Washington or Israel can stop it.
    • Enough support, in fact, now exists, “pursuant to the terms of (the General Assembly’s) Uniting for Peace Resolution (1950).”
    • The GA has sole authority to admit new members, not the Security Council.
    • If Obama uses his veto as threatened, the General Assembly can circumvent him “under the Uniting for Peace Resolution to admit Palestine as a UN Member State in September.”
It’s now the PA’s choice whether to seek it, as well as a two-thirds General Assembly majority affirming their supportive pledge, refusing to let illegal Washington/Israeli bullying stop them.

On Nakba day he joined thousands of others as they marched to the ceasefire line between Syria and occupied Gollan Hieghts, he crossed the mine fields on the cease fire line in Majdal Shams, He and his fellow demonstrators were warmly welcomed, and he quickly began plotting a way to return Jerusalem.

The IOF arressted him on Huwara checkpoint near Nablis on his way towards Jerusalem, putting an end of his dream of reaching Jerusalem and praying in Alaqsa.
He was detained his for few days before being expelled back to Syria.
"My few days in Palestine confirmed to me that Palestine is so near, the enemy who frightened us for 63 years is a caward and can't stand against our determination." thus said Izat after his return to Syria.

After three weeks, on Naksa day Izat decided to try again. Unfortunately, his dream of returning home ended quickly and violently.

Palestinian refugees across the region marched on Israel's borders in a
mass show of mourning over Palestinians' dispossession
    in 1948. [AFP/Menahem Kahana, File]
JERUSALEM (AFP) -- When Ezzat Maswadi burst across the ceasefire line from Syria into the occupied Golan Heights, he thought his chance to return to Jerusalem -- the city of his birth -- had finally come.

But the return that Maswadi had longed for was not to be, and his attempts to reach the Holy City would eventually lead to his death, three weeks later, in the fields between Syria and the Golan town of Majdal Shams.

Born to a Palestinian family in Jerusalem in 1977, Maswadi grew up in the nearby town of Al-Eizariya until 1984, when his family moved first to Jordan and then to Syria.

His father moved back to Jerusalem shortly afterward, but Maswadi and his mother were told they had lost their residency permits under an Israeli law which quietly revoked the residency of anyone who stayed away more than three years.
So Maswadi stayed in Damascus, fearing he would never be able to go home, until he heard that Palestinian refugees in Syria were planning to march towards Israel on May 15, the anniversary of Israel's creation amid the mass dispossession of Palestinians.

Palestinians mark the occasion as the "Nakba" or "catastrophe" when hundreds of thousands of them fled or were expelled from their homes in the war that accompanied Israel's declaration of independence.

On the day of the protests, a clear, warm Sunday, Maswadi joined thousands of others as they marched unimpeded to the ceasefire line between Israel and Syria, just across from Majdal Shams in the Israel-occupied Golan Heights.

A handful of Israeli troops stationed in the area, apparently caught short, watched in horror as Maswadi and other protesters moved quickly across heavily-mined fields, cut through a fence and entered Majdal Shams.

He and his fellow demonstrators were warmly welcomed, and Maswadi quickly began plotting a way to get back to Jerusalem.

To do so, he had to circumvent Israeli checkpoints set up to catch infiltrators from Syria and find a taxi driver willing to take him three hours south to Jerusalem.

He decided to lie and managed to convince a journalist from Jerusalem that he was a reporter with the Arabic newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi.

He traded on the name of his family, that of a well-known Jerusalem clan, and his knowledge of the city to convince the journalist to vouch for him to a nervous taxi driver.

"An Israeli soldier stopped me at a checkpoint on the outskirts of Majdal Shams, and said words to me that I didn't understand but I'm sure he was asking for my identity card," Maswadi wrote in an online account shortly afterward.

"I told him I was a journalist and he allowed me to cross."

He started to believe he would make it home, and eagerly peered out of the window as the car drove south, marveling at the scenery.

"The features of my country began to become clear. It was the most beautiful feeling of my life, to see the country I had dreamed of. All the words in the world can't describe how it felt," he wrote.

"I can only say that it was 'homeland' with all that that means -- love, longing, beauty, magnificence."

But Maswadi's journey was about to grind to a halt. He ran into another Israeli checkpoint, and this time his ruse was discovered.

"They surprised us with the checkpoint and I couldn't go on or return or even tell the driver the truth. This was the end of my journey to Palestine, the end of my dream and my goal," he wrote.

Maswadi was held by Israeli security officials for an unspecified period of time before being expelled back to Syria.

His driver, a Palestinian from occupied East Jerusalem, was jailed for five days, then put under house arrest for another five days before being released on condition he did not return to the Golan for the next three months.

For Maswadi, being expelled was devastating, but he quickly decided to try again -- this time on June 5, when Palestinians mark the "Naksa" or "setback" of the 1967 Six-Day War.

This time, Maswadi's dream of returning home would end quickly and violently.

As he joined hundreds of other protesters trying to cut through a line of barbed wire to reach the border fence, Israeli troops opened fire.

That day, 23 people were killed and hundreds more injured, according to figures given by Syrian state television.

Israel acknowledged the deaths of 10 protesters, but said all of them died in a second protest in Quneitra, several kilometres further south, when Molotov cocktails thrown by the demonstrators set off Syrian mines in no-man's land.

But Maswadi's father Aziz has no doubt about how his eldest son died.

"He was killed by Israeli bullets in Majdal Shams," he told AFP from the family's home in Al-Eizariya. "It was his dream to return to Jerusalem.

"They told me that the bullets perforated his body," he said, adding that his son had been buried in Syria.

Sobbing, Aziz Maswadi said he was denied permission to travel to Syria for the funeral in Damascus. "My son is a martyr, I wanted to see him one last time."

What the American Public Shouldn’t Know

Many people around the world might have credulously or perhaps naively fallen in the trap of believing the tempting claims of the U.S. statesmen and politicians who say that their country is a “beacon of freedom” and a “pioneer of democracy.”

It’s a bitter reality that many of us have been defeated and overwhelmed by the propaganda of the U.S. mainstream media who incessantly attempt to make their audiences believe that democracy and freedom are originally American values and cannot be found anywhere else in the world, that all of the world nations need the United States to achieve these values and that the United States must resort to every instrument to export these home-made values to the rest of the world, including frequent military expeditions.

But what’s the reality on the ground? Who really knows about what’s taking place behind the scenes? How much difference is there between the United States which is trimmed and made neat to be put before the eyes of the international community and the United States which mercilessly and inexcusably deprives its own people of getting informed about the latest developments in the world? Isn’t it ironic that the same United States whose leaders always boast of democracy, freedom and equal opportunities set off media outlets to direct black propaganda against countries such as Iran while preventing its people from having access to the content of such media?

If you’re familiar with the conventional double standards and hypocrisy of the American type, you might have heard about the US Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948, popularly known as the Smith-Mundt Act.

This discriminatory and indefensible act which was first signed into law by President Harry S. Truman on January 27, 1948 after getting approval by the 80th Congress is, in a nutshell, a regulation which allows the United States to establish and initiate media outlets which are aimed at non-American audiences in order to further the diplomatic and political objectives and interests of the U.S. overseas; however, these media outlets, including radio and TV stations, are unavailable to the U.S. citizens, and to put it more succinctly, it’s forbidden for them to have access to these media channels.

The legislation which was introduced in the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs at the request of State Department, authorizes the U.S. State Department to communicate to audiences outside of the borders of the United States through broadcasting, face to face contacts, exchanges, online activities, the publishing of books, magazines, and other media of communication and engagement. Funding for these activities comes from other legislation passed by the U.S. Congress called appropriations.

According to this law, the materials which are produced to be broadcast through certain American media outlets cannot and should not be disseminated and publicized domestically and can be only available to the members of Congress and academicians. With the concerted efforts of several U.S. Congressmen, the Act was amended to read: “no program material prepared by the United States Information Agency shall be distributed within the United States.”

However, it’s interesting to note that at the time of working on the compilation of the Smith-Mundt Act, fierce controversies had arisen among the congressmen, including a quarrel over how to “remove the stigma of propaganda” from this law, because even the U.S. lawmakers had come to the conclusion that it was an all-out replica of the propaganda machinery of the former Soviet Union and Nazi regime.

Seven radio and TV stations are covered by the Act, two of which are exclusively dedicated to Iran: Radio Farda and Voice of America. It means that the American citizens cannot watch the TV programs which VOA airs and listen to what the Radio Farda broadcasts.

This clearly shows that the U.S. statesmen and politicians have predetermined and programmed plans for the nation of Iran and it’s on their agenda to sow the seeds of discord between different groups of Iranian nation by airing programs in which nothing can be traced but mere propaganda, falsification and fabrication.

A quick look at the performance of media outlets such as VOA and Radio Farda helps us comprehend that making the Iranian nation worried about the current situation of the country, spreading falsehood and untruth about the course of events and developments in the country and advertising the large-scale policies of the White House and the Israeli regime with regards to Iran are the main objectives of these state-run media which are sumptuously funded and excessively supported by the U.S. government.
According to the statistics released by Washington Post, the U.S. Congress has allocated an annual budget of $7 million to Radio Farda and by using this profuse amount of money, this soft war machine unremittingly produces and disseminates falsehood and mendacious propaganda against the nation of Iran.

Maybe, it may be necessary for the people of the United States to know where they taxes go and how their government spends on its unrelenting wars with the countries which don’t want to fall under the umbrella of U.S. hegemony.

The American people are deprived of listening to the propaganda of Radio Farda and VOA; however, it is vital for them to know that their government does not really represent a “beacon of freedom” nor does it have the features of a “pioneer of democracy” but is more of a propaganda machine programmed to wage wars and win profits.

IOF troops raid the Aqsa Mosque, assault worshipers
    [ 10/06/2011 - 09:53 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The IOF troops raided the Aqsa Mosque plazas, immediately after the end of the Friday prayers and assaulted the worshipers, firing stun grenades and teargas canisters towards them, according to the Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage (AFEH).
AFEH added that special forces raided the mosque from the Magharba gate provoking the Muslim worshipers who clashed with the invading troops which withdrew fearing a spread of confrontations.
Rasem Abdel Wahid, a journalist specialising in Jerusalem affairs, said that the invading troops withdrew in the face of the determination of the worshipers not to leave and to confront attempts to invade the mosque.
The raid was repeated, but this time from both the Mgharba and Silsila gates surrounding the worshipers from both sides, but the worshipers stood in the face of the troops and chanted “With our souls and our blood we redeem you o’ Aqsa.” They also threw shoes and stones at the invading troops, which withdrew again from both gates after arresting three Palestinians and taking them the Maskoubeyya interrogation centre.
On Thursday, extremist Jewish settlers from the Keryat Arba’ colony in al-Khalil raided the mosque under the protection of IOF troops.

IOF cracks down on peaceful protests in West Bank
    [ 11/06/2011 - 08:21 AM ]
WEST BANK, (PIC)-- Dozens suffered the effects of breathing tear gas after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) cracked down Friday on a weekly rally in Bil'in protesting Jewish settlement construction and the separation barrier erected there.
Dozens of Palestinians and pro-Palestinian activists from abroad flooded the village streets waving flags and calling for resistance against the Israeli occupation.
They were stopped short after a human blockade of IOF soldiers showered them with tear gas and waste water as the marchers closed in on the separation wall with intent to cross to their land.
Elsewhere on Friday, the IOF used fists and rifle butts to hamper the progression of local and foreign activists during more marches in Al-Ma'sara village in Bethlehem province.
More peaceful marches were launched in Shukba and nearby villages west of Ramallah to protest a crushing plant recently erected in the village.
They marched toward the hundreds of dunums of land that Israel had confiscated to build the crusher a year ago.
The IOF stopped them before they reached the crusher using tear gas and rubber bullets as several protesters sustained breathing difficulties.
Explosions made by the crusher have caused heavy damages to nearby homes.

NABLUS, (PIC)-- IOF troops arrested on Friday morning eight Palestinians, most of them from the village of Talfit to the south of the northern West Bank village of Nablus.
Local sources said that IOF troops deliberately terrorised women and children during the dawn raids and ransacking the homes of those arrested.
The sources also said that those arrested had their hands tied and were blindfolded and taken away for interrogation.

IOF troops usually carry out their arrest raids late at night when people are asleep causing maximum terror to women and children of the targeted houses and their neighbours.

W.Bank MPs urge PA to deal with the mass resignation of doctors

    [ 10/06/2011 - 11:10 AM ]
WEST BANK, (PIC)-- Palestinian legislators from the change and reform bloc in the PLC have urged Thursday the PA to shoulder its responsibility for the safety of the Palestinian people after 750 Palestinian doctors resigned in the West Bank because the health ministry ignored their demands.
The MPs said that the problem must be immediately addressed and solved to avoid possible health catastrophe in the area if the PA remained idle, calling on the PA officials to meet with doctors and to listen to their demands so as to find a solution for this crises and to put the interest of the Palestinian people above all concerns.
They also criticized the deliberate "blocking" of the PLC from convening normally, saying that derailing the work of the PLC was one of the main reasons for such crises in the absence of clear legislations and supervision that could have controlled the problems and organized relationship between employees and employers.
In Ramallah, the fact-finding committee that follows up the issue recommended the immediate relieve of PA health minister in Ramallah government Fathi Abu Mughly due to "administrative and financial violations" during his term as head of the medical council.
In a press conference it held in Ramallah over the matter, the committee considered Abu Mughly fully responsible for the financial and administrative breaches in the council, and accused him of "misusing" his authority.
The committee also accused the council of lacking clear strategy, specific vision, and action plan that could help develop programs and plans to improve performance of the medical teams and to fulfill the Palestinian people's health needs.
The committee also said that the low salary rates of Palestinian doctors have forced many qualified and specialist doctors to migrate leaving sharp shortage in number of doctors in the West Bank.
Hundreds of Palestinian doctors have recently resigned after the PA supreme court ordered them to end their sit-in without even looking at their "just" demands.

Elias Davidsson-I Am A Radical Antisemite And Am Proud Of It

The meaning of the term "antisemite" has significantly changed in recent years. There was a time when this term referred to those who despised Jews.

Later, the term referred to those who promoted myths about a global Jewish conspiracy to rule the world.

Today the term "antisemite" is used by the ruling elite to lambast human rights activists who advocate equal rights between Jews, Christians and Muslims, the right of return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland and the vision of a common, democratic state for both Palestinians and Israelis.

The word "antisemite", which initially conveyed a negative and even sinister meaning, refers now to positive and highly commendable attitudes that can be carried with honour. One may lament this change of meaning, but one should remember that a word does not carry any particular meaning. It is merely a conventional symbol that refers to external contents. By convention, society could agree to name animosity towards Jews "xakaculca", democracy "zbzb" and elefants "democracy".

Advocacy for a just and democratic solution to the conflict in Israel/Palestine is grounded on international human rights norms, including the right to equality and the right of everyone to return to her country. These norms are enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (articles 1, 2, 7, 13(2)) and the Preamble of the U.N. Charter. This advocacy also seeks its legitimacy from the constitutional principles that underpin the Western democratic order. According to current terminology, as imposed by those who mould public opinion, the word "antisemitism" now refers to human rights advocacy and to the struggle for democracy. There is no need to combat the new convention. One merely has to adjust to it.

Inasmuch as the term "antisemite" now refers to human rights advocates and radical democrats, I declare myself a radical antisemite.
