OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The IOF troops raided the Aqsa Mosque plazas, immediately after the end of the Friday prayers and assaulted the worshipers, firing stun grenades and teargas canisters towards them, according to the Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage (AFEH).
AFEH added that special forces raided the mosque from the Magharba gate provoking the Muslim worshipers who clashed with the invading troops which withdrew fearing a spread of confrontations.
Rasem Abdel Wahid, a journalist specialising in Jerusalem affairs, said that the invading troops withdrew in the face of the determination of the worshipers not to leave and to confront attempts to invade the mosque.
The raid was repeated, but this time from both the Mgharba and Silsila gates surrounding the worshipers from both sides, but the worshipers stood in the face of the troops and chanted “With our souls and our blood we redeem you o’ Aqsa.” They also threw shoes and stones at the invading troops, which withdrew again from both gates after arresting three Palestinians and taking them the Maskoubeyya interrogation centre.
On Thursday, extremist Jewish settlers from the Keryat Arba’ colony in al-Khalil raided the mosque under the protection of IOF troops.

IOF cracks down on peaceful protests in West Bank

WEST BANK, (PIC)-- Dozens suffered the effects of breathing tear gas after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) cracked down Friday on a weekly rally in Bil'in protesting Jewish settlement construction and the separation barrier erected there.
Dozens of Palestinians and pro-Palestinian activists from abroad flooded the village streets waving flags and calling for resistance against the Israeli occupation.
They were stopped short after a human blockade of IOF soldiers showered them with tear gas and waste water as the marchers closed in on the separation wall with intent to cross to their land.
Elsewhere on Friday, the IOF used fists and rifle butts to hamper the progression of local and foreign activists during more marches in Al-Ma'sara village in Bethlehem province.
More peaceful marches were launched in Shukba and nearby villages west of Ramallah to protest a crushing plant recently erected in the village.
They marched toward the hundreds of dunums of land that Israel had confiscated to build the crusher a year ago.
The IOF stopped them before they reached the crusher using tear gas and rubber bullets as several protesters sustained breathing difficulties.
Explosions made by the crusher have caused heavy damages to nearby homes.

NABLUS, (PIC)-- IOF troops arrested on Friday morning eight Palestinians, most of them from the village of Talfit to the south of the northern West Bank village of Nablus.
Local sources said that IOF troops deliberately terrorised women and children during the dawn raids and ransacking the homes of those arrested.
The sources also said that those arrested had their hands tied and were blindfolded and taken away for interrogation.

IOF troops usually carry out their arrest raids late at night when people are asleep causing maximum terror to women and children of the targeted houses and their neighbours.
