OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Sheikh Ra'ed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, has called on Palestinian Muslims to intensify presence in the holy Aqsa Mosque following escalation of Zionist threats and violations of its sanctity.

He also called on all sectors of the Palestinian people in occupied Palestine to participate in activating the pro-Aqsa activities especially marches to the holy site and constant presence there.

Sheikh Salah in a statement on Sunday said that the Aqsa Mosque is passing through a serious stage, which calls for increasing support and sacrifice on the part of Palestinians and Muslims.

The Islamic leader's statement followed increasing Zionist attacks on the Aqsa that culminated recently in allowing entry of Jewish groups into its plazas to perform rituals other than allowing entry of foreigners with revealing attire into the holy site.
