RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Azzam Al-Ahmad, the prominent Fatah leader and the head of the Movement's bloc in the Palestinian legislature has acknowledged Sunday that his Movement's condition was very serious, loose, and needs a comprehensive rescue plan.

In statements he made to the Jordanian Al-Rai newspaper in Amman and published Sunday, Ahmad called to pump new blood in the Movement's leadership in order to preserve the national program of the movement.

He also confirmed that the internal system and the political program of Fatah need a general, comprehensive, and thorough review so as to help the movement proceed with its national program of liberating occupied Palestine in line with the movement's political program in1989 in Algeria.

Ahmad also anticipated that the scheduled sixth congress of Fatah would face many challenges and obstacles without ruling out that it could fail if Fatah members from Gaza Strip and from outside occupied Palestine failed to attend the congress, adding that the IOA refused to give assurances for the safety of the Palestinian leaders who would come from abroad.

Furthermore, Ahmad lashed back at Oslo agreement 16 years after the Fatah-dominated PLO signed it with Israel in 1993, describing the ill-fated treaty as a "bait" to catch Fatah and the PLO.
