DOHA, (PIC)-- The renowned Egyptian scholar Dr. Yousef Al-Qaradawi has asked the Arab and Islamic countries to convene on the summit level to display the required role in face of the attacks on the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

He hailed the Arab and Islamic masses that responded to his call for massive protest marches the Friday before last in support of the Aqsa that is the target of constant Israeli aggression.

The Sheikh told Al-Jazeera TV network on Sunday night that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) was barring worshipers from heading to the Mosque in preparation for dividing it between Muslims and Jews as what it did in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Mujahideen Brigades in Palestine said that all resistance factions should retaliate to the IOA desecration of the holy Aqsa Mosque.

Abu Bilal said on Sunday that the IOA have no respect for Muslim holy shrines or feelings and was committing the gravest of crimes against Muslims and their sanctities.
