Israel unveiled its usual devilish face

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Hamas lawmaker Samira Halayqeh said Monday that Israel’s aggressive attack on Freedom Flotilla aid convoy reflected its usual devilish face and unprecedented piracy against all international laws and norms.

“The martyrs of Freedom Flotilla will remain on the honor lists and their blood will always be a curse haunting those presidents and leaders who are reluctant to help Gaza,” Halayqeh highlighted Monday in a press release.

“We are proud of and appreciate the magnitude of the sacrifice made by those supporters who taught us with pride the meaning of humanitarian principles and values,” she emphasized.

The lawmaker called on the countries whose nationals were killed or brutally assaulted aboard the aid ships to take action against Israel’ offensive and to expel its ambassadors.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council, called on the UN, the Arab League, the organization of the Islamic conference and the world’s free people to necessarily confront Israel’s terrorism against Gaza people.

Dr. Bahar said in a press release at an early hour on Monday that Israel’s attack on the Freedom Flotilla convoy would set off waves of hatred against Israel all over the world and increase solidarity and sympathy with the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza.

The deputy speaker also described Israel’s use of armed force against hundreds of civilian participants in the convoy as a first-class war crime and a serious act of piracy punishable under international law.

In a press release, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri also called on the Arab League to take practical steps in its emergency meeting to respond to Israel’s offensive against Freedom Flotilla through breaking the siege imposed on Gaza and annulling the authorization granted to Mahmoud Abbas regarding his negotiations with Israel.

For his part, Hammad Al-Raqab, Hamas spokesman in Khan Younis, urged the Muslim Nation and the world’s free people to use the great sacrifices made by Freedom Flotilla martyrs as fuel to uprise against Israel’s injustice and tyranny.

Israel’s deadly action against the convoy was also strongly denounced today by the Iranian parliament.

The reporter of the Palestinian information center in Tehran quoted spokesman for the parliamentary committee on national security Kadem Jalali as saying that Israel poses a threat to global peace and security.

Jalali added that such action unveiled further Israel’s ugly face, expressing his dismay at the silence of the international community towards the Zionist brutality.

In a related incident, head of the Algerian Movement of society for peace Sheikh Abu Jarah Sultani reported that there are popular and diplomatic moves to reveal the fate of 32 Algerian participants in Freedom Flotilla convoy, which was attacked earlier this morning by the Israeli navy.
