The Egyptian Salafi Al-Nour party said it respects all treaties signed by Egypt, including the peace treaty with Israel, and stated that they are also in favor of negotiating with the Zionist entity, Haaretz reported.

The Israeli daily further quoted a senior diplomatic official in Al-Quds as saying that “Israel's new ambassador in Cairo, Yaakov Amitai, will attempt to open communication channels with Islamic officials in Egypt, including representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood and the radical Salafi movement's Al-Nour Party.”

"We should make every effort to explain that we are not the enemies of the Egyptian people or enemies of the Palestinians," the official further stated.

South Sudan's President Salva Kiir arrived for the first time in the occupied territories early Tuesday in a 24-hour visit.

Kiir will hold talks with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, "Defense" Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

Kiir was received by Zionist Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, who hailed the visit saying it “testifies to the deep friendship and the natural partnership between South Sudan and Israel".
AFP reported that Kiir’s visit will not include any public remarks.
