Sayyed Nasrallah Questions, Officials Confess Kazzi’s Treason Revealed for a While Before Arrest

His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah asked a question in his speech yesterday, which said, "Did the information branch know about Charbel Kazzi's treason before?"

Answering the question, some high-ranked governmental officials, confessed through An-Nahar newspaper, that the information branch did know about the espionage agent, Charbel Kazzi's treason for the "Israelis" for a while, yet sources tried to justify not arresting him".

In this context, An-Nahar said that the information high-ranked officials have, reveal that the information branch in the Internal Security Forces (ISF), has tracked espionage agent Kazzi, and thus the ISF filed a request in researching further details and evidence, after which the army intelligence took over and arrested Charbel Kazzi.

A high-ranked security source told As-Safir newspaper, that the Lebanese Army Intelligence continued its investigations which the Alfa "Israeli" espionage agents, Charbel Kazzi and Tarek Al Rabaa. A former Alfa employee, also believed to be involved in the espionage network, is also held in custody and investigations with him are being conducted.

The sources added that arresting Charbel Kazzi and Tarek Al Rabaa, could be considered as the most dangerous in the history of espionage in Lebanon, where both agents presented dangerous confessions.

According to sources, investigations with the held former employee are revolving over the position he used to occupy in the Alfa Company before he was fired for trespassing his authorities, and inventing programs which let him into any account and computer in the company.

Investigations are aiming at knowing whether the former-employee's attempts is out of spying on his coworkers or has further reasons, although his wife is still an employee in the same company.

As for Charbel Kazzi and Tarek Al Rabaa, sources revealed that both espionage agents are of two different espionage networks and are not related, yet didn't give any further details about the investigations, saying results remain private for now.
