Hamas, PFLP Say Hezbollah Deserves Appreciation Not Denunciation

Al-Manar

13/04/2009 Following the Egyptian accusations and claims against the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Hezbollah, Hamas has expressed its regret for the media and political campaign launched by some mass media against the two resistance movements, accusing them of smuggling the arms into the Gaza Strip, in addition to other western accusations.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Hamas expressed its solidarity with the brothers in Hezbollah in their confrontation for this severe campaign targeting them. The Palestinian movement stressed that supporting the Palestinian people and its resistance is a duty for every Arab, Muslim and free man and it is an object of gratefulness and appreciation rather than of denunciation and accusation

Moreover, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) – General Command said that the national and Islamic responsibility demands ceasing the incitement campaigns against Hezbollah.

In a press statement, the PFLP stressed that Hezbollah was and is still facing an unfair campaign since its victory against the Zionist enemy during the Second Lebanon War in July 2006 in an attempt to target its role and position and try to empty this victory from its content.

The Popular Front said that Hezbollah has historically moved itself away from any internal and Arab issues and its greater concern is resisting the Zionist entity and supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people and its resistance.

Earlier, Egyptian Al Karama party ruled out the accusations against Hezbollah and confirmed that the resistance party’s behavior excludes it completely from such claims and puts it in a good position among the Egyptian people.

Deputy Chief of the Karama party Amin Iskandar said that the real dispute is between what is called “Arab moderate front” and the resistance front. Iskandar also pointed out that the real threat for the Egyptian national security was not Hezbollah however Israel and the US interference in the country’s matters.
