More Agents Uncovered; Rifi Says Israelis Confused, Lost

Indeed, while investigations were ongoing with Colonel Mansour Diab who was arrested a few days ago revealing that the latter has actually admitted having dealt with the Zionist entity, more agents were arrested on Thursday dawn.
The General Security apparatus has reportedly put its hand on an Israeli spying dossier following a series of investigation and inspections. The dossier allowed the security apparatus to arrest the Palestinian Anwar M.S.
In a related development, the General Security arrested the brothers Ali and Mohamad G. from the southern town of Kfarkila as well as Assad R. and his wife Nisrine from the southern town of Khiam on suspicion of dealing with the Zionist entity.
For its part, the Intelligence Directorate within the Lebanese Army arrested Saeb A. from the southern town of Kfarshouba as well as two cousins of the agent Nasser Nader as part of the investigations with the latter.
Meanwhile, Colonel Mansour Diab reportedly admitted to investigators that he spied on Hezbollah and the Syrian army for Israel's secret service, the Mossad, since 1997 in exchange for hefty cash rewards.
Diab, according to Lebanese daily As-Safir, pleaded guilty to spying for the Mossad since 1997 when Israeli officers recruited him as he took part in a military training program in the United States in exchange for large amounts of money.
He admitted providing information about Hezbollah and Syrian troops before their withdrawal from Lebanon in 2005, the paper said. It added that Diab, from the northern town of Idbil in Akkar, also has "provided services to the Israelis within the task set to him."
As-Safir said the Intelligence Directorate confiscated communications equipment from Diab's home and other places frequently visited by the detained officer.

RIFI: ISRAELIS LOST, CONFUSED AFTER DISCOVERY OF CELLS
Internal Security Forces Director General Achraf Rifi, meanwhile, said that Lebanon proved to the Zionist entity that "it can succeed in conducting intelligence work, if all technical support was provided."
This comes in reference to the success of the Lebanese security services in discovering several Israeli spy networks over the past few months, the latest being a colonel in the army held on suspicion of being an Israeli agent.
Rifi said that some Israeli analysts took interest in his statements on the "technical secret" that led to dismantling the Israeli espionage cells, something which he said led to the Israeli Intelligence services' confusion. "Intelligence members started accusing and holding each other accountable," he concluded.
