GAZA, (PIC)-- The Islamic Jihad Movement has charged security militias loyal to former PA chief Mahmoud Abbas with continuing their arrest campaigns in lines of its cadres in the West Bank.

Daoud Shihab, a Jihad spokesman in Gaza, told his Movement's website on Monday that the continued detention of Jihad activists was in line with the security coordination with the Israeli occupation authority under the supervision of the American General Keith Dayton.

The Hamas Movement in the West Bank also said that Abbas's militias were still detaining its cadres and sympathizers, noting that six Hamas supporters were detained in the past 24 hours in the districts of Al-Khalil, Jenin and Bethlehem.

Witnesses reported that elements of those militias on Monday stormed the Zakat committee in Jenin city and kidnapped two of its workers on the charge of affiliation with Hamas.

Abbas's militias escalated their detention of Hamas supporters kidnapping 19 of them since start of this week.
