GAZA, (PIC)-- Al-Ahrar center for prisoners’ studies reported that a mother of three Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails called Itaf Al-Qawasmi, 62, died Monday after spending two weeks in hospital.

The center said Tuesday that the deceased is the mother of Tareq, Imad and Iyad Al-Qawasmi who have been unable to see her for years because of the Israeli restrictions imposed on family visits to jails.

In another context, Al-Mizan center for human rights said the Palestinian prisoners in Nafha jail went on hunger strike Tuesday morning in protest at the violations committed against them by the prison administration.

The center added that the Israeli jailers in this prison storm and ransack prisoners’ cells at night and prevent them from receiving their allowances to buy food and vital needs inside the jail or seeing their families.

The center held the prison administration responsible for the lives of detainees and called on the international community to intervene and provide protection for the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
