GAZA, (PIC)-- The Movement of Hamas on the 92nd anniversary of the ill-fated Balfour declaration expressed its supreme confidence in achieving victory and restoring the Palestinian usurped rights and demanded European states in general and Britain in particular to bear the moral responsibility for the crime they had committed against Palestine.
Hamas said Monday that this anniversary brings back memories of the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe) and raises constant questions about Europe’s right to give Palestine to Jews to atone for its crimes against them, and about the Jews’ right to usurp the Palestinian land and forget the crimes committed against them by Europe.
Hamas said that this anniversary makes it more determined to restore the usurped rights, liberate the occupied holy places and help the Palestinian refugees in diaspora to return to their homes they were forced to leave.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC), stated Monday that the adherence to the option of resistance, the restoration of the national unity and supporting the Palestinian people’s steadfastness in the face of the occupation are the best guarantees to protect the justice of the national cause.
Dr. Bahar underlined that apologizing to the Palestinian people and providing them with all forms of political and economic support would be the minimum acceptable atonement for Britain’s moral and political crime against them.
Hamas lawmaker Yasser Mansour, for his part, said on this anniversary that a new tragedy is added everyday to the memory of the Palestinian people who are still suffering from the bitterness and the injustice of the occupation
Mansour added that such fateful dates in the history of the Palestinian cause must be remembered to take the lessons and should be instilled in the minds of Palestinian students in order to create generations brought up on the love of their national cause.
