CAIRO, (PIC)-- An Egyptian newspaper has said that Cairo informed the Libyan authorities its objection to the presence of a delegation of the Hamas Movement in the upcoming Arab summit in Tripoli.
Al-Misriyoon paper said on Wednesday that Cairo told Tripoli it totally objected to the presence of Hamas in the summit slated for next month in the Libyan capital.
Cairo argued that governments and regimes are the only parties invited to attend summits and not resistance movements, the paper said.
Cairo warned that the presence of Hamas in the summit would carry negative impacts, explaining that Hamas might exploit its participation to increase its demands and impede reconciliation, the paper said.
