GAZA, (PIC)-- Khaled Mishaal, the head of Hamas’s political bureau, on Wednesday stressed that it is time to respond to the assassination of martyr Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh and expressed his confidence in the ability of Al-Qassam Brigades to fulfil its promise in this regard.
In a televised speech during a tribute ceremony for Mabhouh held in Gaza, Mishaal urged the armed wing of Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades to turn their threats to avenge the assassination of Mabhouh into action.
He also expressed his appreciation for the creative work done by Dubai police in exposing the details of the crime and called for involving Hamas in the investigation in its capacity as the guardian of the victim’s blood.
The political leader of Hamas said that the arrest of the killers will not only be in the interest of the family of Mabhouh and the Palestinian people, but it is in the interest of the UAE and all Arab countries as well.
The leader stressed that what happened was like a station to remind the Arabs that the real threat to their national security is not the Palestinian people or their resistance, but the Zionists.
For his part, Al-Qassam spokesman Abu Obeida stated during the ceremony that the decision to avenge the assassination of Mabhouh was taken and Israel has to wait for the reprisal.
Spokesman Abu Obeida affirmed that Al-Qassam Brigades had already determined the appropriate mechanism to fulfil its promise and would surprise Israel with its masterly retaliation in the right time and place.
Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, a member of the political bureau of Hamas, for his part said that the blood of martyr Mabhouh would not rest unit Al-Qassam leaders reach his killers.
Dr. Hayya added that Hamas will not feel relieved and its anger will not calm down before it sees the killers of Mabhouh receiving retribution for their crimes.
He called on the Arab countries to protect their national security and to adopt a resolution prohibiting the entry of Israelis to their lands.
