Bahar: Israel’s terrorism against the Islamic holy sites broke all taboos

GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC), warned Saturday that Israel’s terrorist acts against the Islamic holy sites in Palestine exceeded all limits and taboos and would cause an unpredictable destructive fire in the whole region.

In a press release, Dr. Bahar stressed that Israel’s violation of the sanctity of the Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem and the West Bank would never go unpunished, calling on the Palestinian people to rise up in the face of the Israeli arrogance.

The deputy speaker also expressed his dismay and regret at the international and Arab passivity toward the massacre being committed by Israel against the Islamic holy places in Palestine.

For his part, prisoner Hosam Badran, a leading Hamas figure in Israeli jails, highlighted in a leaked letter that the Muslim Nation must not forget its duty to defend the Aqsa Mosque against the Israeli attacks.

Badran demanded the Muslim scholars, intellectuals and leaders of political parties and movements to immediately act and save the Aqsa Mosque, warning that the Israeli occupation is trying to sense the reaction of the Muslim Nation.

He also urged the coming Arab summit to find mechanisms for the protection of the Aqsa Mosque against Judaization.

In the same context, Al-Quds committee of the Arab doctors union strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) for desecrating the Aqsa Mosque on Friday afternoon and attacking worshipers.

The committee underscored in a statement that Israel’s latest attacks on the Mosque and citizens in Jerusalem are a message to the Arab foreign ministers for their decision to resume the peace negotiations.

It called on the Arab summit to be held in Libya to backtrack on this decision for the sake of the Islamic holy shrines.

For his part, Palestinian lawmaker Hatem Kufaisheh strongly denounced the IOF troops for assaulting on Friday a delegation of Palestinian judges during their protest outside the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil against the Israeli decision to annex the Mosque to what is called the list of Jewish heritage.

Kufaisheh stressed in a statement that such behavior confirmed that the Israeli occupation intended to implement its Judaization policy by armed force and oppression without any deterrence.
