Abbas's militias round up 24 Hamas supporters including 15 minors

TULKAREM, (PIC)-- Militias loyal to former PA chief Mahmoud Abbas continued their arrest campaign of Hamas supporters in the West Bank and rounded up 24 citizens in the districts of Tulkarem, Bethlehem, and Nablus within the past 24 hours.

Local sources in Tulkarem said on Sunday that those militias detained anew Hamas leader in Bala'a village Anwar Emair after wreaking havoc in his home.

They rounded up more liberated prisoners and kidnapped 15 children who were playing football in Shuweika village.

Hamas said in a report in the West Bank that Abbas's militias detained 107 Hamas supporters over the past week including 71 liberated prisoners and summoned 200 others including women for interrogation.

Meanwhile, an Israeli army commander praised Abbas's militias for their role in quelling resistance especially Hamas in the West Bank and for good security coordination with the Israeli occupation forces.
