KHAN YOUNIS, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired at a peaceful march, organized by the popular committee against the IOF security belt, east of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, on Monday.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF soldiers fired at the participants, who included foreign activists, when they approached the security fence east of Abasan Al-Jadida in Khan Younis district.

Participants denounced the IOF shooting, saying that the Palestinians are entitled to reach wherever they wish on Palestinian land, and rejected the security belt that was depriving farmers from tending to their fields.

A number of young men, however, managed to reach the fence and placed the Palestinian flag on it.
