Hamdan: Abbas to concede major Palestinian rights

[ 30/08/2010 - 01:54 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Osama Hamdan, the head of Hamas's international relations department, has opined that the de facto Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas would cede major Palestinian rights during direct talks with the Israeli occupation authority (IOA).

Hamdan in an interview with Palestine newspaper to be published on Monday said that Abbas would give up vital Palestinian rights during the talks to be added to what he previously wasted in the Oslo negotiations and others.

Hamdan said that the talks were meant as face-saving for the US administration and to allow more time for the IOA to achieve more gains at the expense of Palestinian rights and constants.

He charged that the rabid campaign against Hamas supporters in the West Bank revealed that Abbas's authority was embarking on a program based on the Zio-American project to liquidate resistance in Palestine.

Hamdan warned that Abbas's authority was planning to target Hamas leaders in the West Bank to pave the way for endorsing the settlement project and the Zio-American vision for the region.

American president Barack Obama is to host a summit meeting on 2nd September in Washington that would group him along with Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II, Abbas, and Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu to signal the start of the direct talks between Abbas and the IOA.
