Israel Urges Lebanon to be Vigilant against “Border Disturbance”
02/09/2010 On the eve of Al-Quds Day, the Israeli enemy called on the Lebanese government to be vigilant against what it called attempts by Hezbollah to create disturbances near the border on the occasion.
Israeli Radio said that Israeli security authorities sent out these warnings to the Lebanese government for fear that a Hezbollah-organized popular demonstration might "disrupt peace and tranquility on the northern border."
The authorities, according to Israel radio, expressed confidence that the presence of Lebanese troops and UN peacekeepers will guard against turning this occasion into chaos.
Just like every year, Hezbollah is set to organize on Friday a rally on the occasion of Al-Quds Day in which Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is set to deliver a speech in which he would announce the Resistance party’s stances towards the latest developments, especially those related to the Palestinian cause.
Meanwhile,I sraeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai said that Israel lost the 2006 war with Hezbollah because Israelis had distanced themselves from God.
"In the Six Day War we fought all of the Arab armies – for every one of our soldiers they had 10,000 soldiers, for every one of our tanks they had 10,000 tanks, for every plane at least 10 planes," Yishai told Shas Party supporters gathered at a Tel Aviv synagogue. "But here we come to the Second Lebanon War, without Syria, without Jordan, without Libya – just 2,000 Hezbollah men. 2,000! And look at what happens," he said.
"Do you know why? Because we said, 'My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth'. What do you think? That you can succeed without help from God? Without the Torah of Israel?" Yishai said.
