Abu Zuhri: Fatah popularly bankrupted, has support on the ground

GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, the spokesman of Hamas Movement in Gaza, has opined Thursday that Fatah Movement was popularly bankrupted and has no support on the ground after it failed to convince the Palestinian citizens in Gaza to "revolt against Hamas".

"Despite the strong media incitement that Fatah wasted for weeks and despite the temptation and recruitment it made to attract the Palestinian citizens into revolting against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, not a single gathering for such purpose was recorded in the Palestinian community," asserted Abu Zuhri in an interview with the PIC in this regard.

He added that it was obvious that Fatah movement has no more influence in the Palestinian street, and the Palestinian public became aware more than any time of Fatah's suspicious objectives to destroy the Palestinian social fabric in service of the Israeli occupation.

"The fact that Fatah has failed to organize even a small group to achieve its dubious agenda proves that it possesses no popular asset in the Palestinian street," the Hamas official underscored.
