Instigation against Syria targets its stances and support of resistance and Palestinian people.. Archbishop Capucci: Syria adheres to national standards, defends Palestinian cause

Damascus Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun affirmed that instigation against Syria is continuing with the aim of undermining its stances and support of the resistance, wondering how some can instigate against Syria and remain silent towards offenses against sanctities and beliefs and the occupation's constant aggression against the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza Strip.

In a televised speech on Friday, Hassoun said that the reform steps taken by the leadership in Syria are herald of good, and that President Bashar al-Assad put his hand in the hand of his people to build Syria to be stronger and more resilient and giving.

The Grand Mufti noted that the Syria people follows President al-Assad's leadership because the people whose leader respects their creed and patriotism and are an indomitable people.

He stressed that several satellite channels do not want Syria to develop or advance nor do they want the people and the leader to meet for a new beginning, and that these channels instigate murder and discord rather than calling for good and building the nation.

Hassoun said that Friday prayers are being abused by some to instigate murder and discord in the name of Islam, mocking the stances of Muslim scholars and casting doubt on the role of this country and this nation which is still paying the price for supporting the resistance.

He reminded instigators and skeptics that Syria's scholars taught many generations the principles of unity and the dignity of Islam and the nation, adding that these people should have instilled in people the ethics of dialogue rather than level accusation at Syria's scholars.

The Grand Mufti said that some of those who preach at the nation's pulpits are responsible for the bloodshed of Muslims, as sought to destroy countries and facilitate their occupation through their instigation, wondering who allowed them to tell people to kill each other and promise them martyrdom, saying "who made you gatekeepers of Heaven, condemning this one to Hell and letting that one into Heaven?"

Hassoun affirmed that any blood that is spilled in Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and Yemen is on the hands of those who instigate and encourage murder.

He wondered how these instigators could think ill of Syria and that Syrians don’t observe Islam while some of them had visited Syria and talked with its scholars, asking if they want to burn Syria and listen to the lies of some channels that spread sedition and abandon reality.

Hassoun asked if they you want to be a source of evil and misfortune for Muslims, and if they like to see dead people in Syria's streets.

The Grand Mufti wished that these same people would respond to the martyrs in Gaza who were killed by Israeli airplanes the day before, or that they would take a unified stance demanding that countries cut ties with Israel, or that they would rise against the burning of the Quran in America. He told these instigators to ask the people of Gaza of the role of Syria and how it aided them.
Hassoun concluded by saying that Syria is a land preserved by God and by angels, and that he expected better from scholars than to aid the heralds of evil against a country that was blessed by the Prophet Mohammad.

Archbishop Capucci: Syria adheres to national standards, defends Palestinian cause

He said that this precious treasure and honorable reputation must be preserved and development through effort and solidarity, and that it shouldn't be squandered through division and boisterous protests that do no good bur rather harm Syria's image.

Archbishop Capucci said that achieving just demands isn't achieved by riots, but rather by constructive dialogue that brings people together rather than destroy and cause discord.

The Archbishop expressed pride in Syria under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, lauding its adherence to national standards and its constant defense of the Arab Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people's dignity and rights.

Archbishop Capucci by praying that God protect Syria from all harm and aid it against those who conspire against it, and that God bless President Bashar al-Assad to protect the dignity and prosperity of Syria and the happiness of its people.

Al-Sayyed Ahmad: Events taking place in Syria are an attempt to strike at the beating heart that embraces resistance forces

Political analyst and director of Yafa Center in Cairo Rifaat al-Sayyed Ahmad said on Friday that the primary goal of the events currently taking place in Syria is attempting to strike at the beating heart that embraces the Arab resistance forces and supports, protects, and preserves it at a time when everyone else has abandoned resistance.

Al-Sayyed Ahmad said that the second goal is attempting to show what they call "creative chaos" in Syria, affirming that they will not succeed, and that the United States of America is behind this chaotic scenario which is manifesting in Libya and a number of other Arab countries.

"They don't want Arabism to be a part of Syria's true identity," he said, noting that if any harm comes to the Syrian role that protects the Arab resistance, then the Arab nation must defend it vehemently.
