AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- A Jewish settler ran down a young Palestinian girl with his car before fleeing the scene on Monday morning in the Tarama region southwest of Al-Khalil city, medics said.

They added that she was moderately injured.

The same morning, the Israeli occupation forces rounded up 14 men in Beit Ummar north of Al-Khalil, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to take strict punitive action against Palestinians in the wake of recent events.

Locals said their ages varied, but they have not yet been identified.

The IOF has arrested more than 25 men in the West Bank during the arrest campaign.

Separately, the IOF has obstructed a funeral procession in Arab Ramadin and Arab Abu Farda areas behind the apartheid barrier south of Qalqilya city in the northern West Bank.

Only 30 of the Ramdanin tribe were permitted to cross a checkpoint to enter the area after the death of Ata al-Shu'oor on Monday, locals reported.
