Assad Meets Jumblatt, Hopes to See New Lebanese Cabinet

Syrian President Bashar Assad expressed on Thursday hope that the Lebanese would succeed in overcoming their disputes and form a new government soon for the country’s greater good.
According to a statement released by Syria’s state news agency (SANA), Assad received the head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt.
The meeting, which was also attended by caretaker Minister of Transportation and Public Works Ghazi Aridi, addressed the latest security developments in Syria.
SANA said that Jumblatt expressed belief that Syria would be able to overcome the current phase of instability.

Tehran- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad strongly condemned the US and western intervention in the Syrian internal affairs, expressing confidence in Syria's ability to overcome this crisis and solve it without any intervention.
"Iran supports and stands by sovereign and resistant countries," President Ahmadinejad said in a press conference on Tuesday, calling on governments of the region to be aware of the US plots.
On the Palestinian Cause, the Iranian President reiterated his country's backing to the Palestinian people to restore their full rights, calling for mobilizing the energies to establish the Palestinian state on all the Palestinian lands.
