A fake account for Al-Manar website on twitter was being used by anonymous forgers in the past couple of days to give moral aid to the armed groups engaging in battles against the Syrian Army, specifically during Al-Qusayr battle on Sunday. The fake Al-Manar account published on Sunday false news about Al-Qusayr battle developments, and made statements in the name of Al-Manar administration.
Some of the false tweets published were:
“Al-Manar administration offers its deepest condolences to Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah over the martyrdom of his son-in-law, Sayyed Ali Hussein Al-Masri, while performing his duty of protecting the Lebanese in Al-Qusayr villages.” “Hezbollah announces holding a funeral for the martyrs of duty in Al-Qusayr, who's estimated number is 120 martyrs, in Nabatieh on Monday.” These fabrications aim at distorting the image of the resistance in Lebanon, and Al-Manar would like to remind its audience to follow the official Twitter link which appears on its Arabic page. Moreover, a more expanded report about Al-Manar’s official and fake accounts will be available tomorrow. | ||||
