OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- A UN report has warned that the Israeli expansion of the Qalandia roadblock between Ramallah and occupied Jerusalem was aimed at isolating the holy city from the West Bank.
The weekly report issued by the UN office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs (OCHA) said on Saturday that the step would practically isolate eastern Jerusalem from the West Bank.
Construction works at the Qalandia military barrier are accelerating to turn it into a crossing point similar to the Beit Hanun (Erez) at the entrance to the Gaza Strip.
