Health ministry: Shortage of medicine threatens lives of thousands of patients

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian health ministry announced on Sunday that its stores ran out of 88 types of important medicines and called for urgent opening of crossings to facilitate entry of medicine into the Gaza Strip.
The ministry in a statement said that the shortage in medical supplies reached 120 types topped by medicines for psychological and blood diseases, and hepatitis in addition to special baby milk powder and other equipment for surgeries.
It asked the World Health Organization, the Red Cross, all health organizations and human rights groups to take serious steps to lift the siege and expedite sending medication to the Strip.
