Massive marches tomorrow in support of national unity

GAZA, (PIC)-- The family committee of political detainees in the West Bank invited all Palestinian citizens from all spectra to actively participate in the massive marches calling for restoring national unity on Tuesday.

In a press release on Monday, the committee also urged in particular the families of detainees and ex-detainees to take part in these marches and all events aimed at ending the national division.

It emphasized that the issue of political arrest, which is considered the biggest obstacle to the national reconciliation, imposes itself strongly on any move to end the division.

For its part, the Islamic bloc, the student wing of Hamas, said it would participate in the marches organized tomorrow to demand the Palestinian rivals to end the division in the Palestinian arena.

It said in a statement that its demands are represented in releasing all political detainees from Gaza and West Bank jails alike, stopping all forms of media campaigns from both parties, and initiating national dialog leading to the establishment of a national unity government.

The block also stressed the need for restructuring the Palestinian liberation organization (PLO) and halting all negotiations with the Israeli occupation.
