Hizbullah SG: Revolutionary People will Be Triumphant

Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech in support of the revolutionary peoples around the Arab world on Saturday night. From the Sayyed Al Shuhada complex in the Beirut Southern Suburb, Hizbullah SG appeared via video link, and discussed the latest regional and domestic developments.

From the leader of the resistance, from the victorious resistance in Lebanon which remained steadfast in the face of the Zionist entity 33 days and finally was triumphant, a thousand salutes to the revolutionary people in Libya, and the people in Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, and all the people of uprisings. "Today, we meet to express solidarity and support to our Arab peoples, their revolutions, uprisings, and sacrifices especially in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Libya and Yemen," Hizbullah SG started his speech, explaining that the steadfast of the people is related to their strong belief and high spirits.

Sayyed Nasrallah in his speech tackled the different revolutions sweeping across the Arab world, the US and Western intervention and support to the regimes of hegemony oppressing the people, and the latest developments in the Lebanese arena finally.

"First of all, these revolutions are by the people, and here we talk about regimes that follow the US and are in compliance with the US, regimes that do not threat the US policy which is "Israel". So, is it possible that America launch revolutions against these regimes? This is not logical particularly that the US knows very well that the conscience of these people has become of a high level and the stance of these people on the existence of "Israel' has become firm," Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out. He assured that the hypocritical stance of the US tries to speak of freedoms and rights of the people while it supports the repressive regimes.

Sayyed Nasrallah noted that it is ridiculous to accuse Al Qaeda of standing Behind the revolution in Libya, and that Iran is behind the revolution in Bahrain, reiterating the courage of the peoples in face of the repressive regimes. He noted that with such a situation, sacrifices might become large but then comes victory and this is proved by divine rules and history. Sayyed addressing the peoples of the revolution said that the only option they have is to remain strong and persistent and by that achieve a divine victory. His Eminence called on the peoples of the Islamic world, stressing that we should not be fooled by the American trick, as the US is a partner in the crimes of these regimes, and any US talk about respect of Human rights does not enjoy any credibility, particularly because of the US policies towards the Palestinian people and the US Vito in the UN Security Council on the settlement construction halt.

Sayyed continued that we can reconsider the policies of the United States when it stops supporting the Zionist enemy. Hizbullah leader also discussed the reasons that rendered the Egyptian and Tunisian revolutions victorious, and called on both peoples to unite and stay in harmony when it comes to major choices, one of which is the choice of resistance against the enemy. Concerning the situation in Libya, His Eminence said the Libyan regime's assault on the people is similar to the "Israeli" wars on Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, elaborating that the Gaddafi crimes should be condemned by the honorable leaders in the world. He also said that the revolutionary people in Libya should know well that the US and the West gave Gaddafi the time needed to crush the revolution, but the people were steadfast and patient and if they had not tolerated so much, the revolution would have collapsed. Hizbullah SG also warned from foreign countries' intervention in Libya where this country might be engaged in the game of leagues.

The biggest crime of Gaddafi against Lebanon and Al Quds, Sayyed Nasrallah said is the abduction of Imam Moussa Sadr, which is a vital cause Lebanon follows on. As for the claims of Gaddafi on Imam Sadr's traveling to Italy, Sayyed Nasrallah said these are lies.

The resistance leader saluted uprising in Yemen, even though they had weapons. He also saluted the uprisings in Bahrain and Egypt. After further elaboration on the aggression against the peoples, the intervention of neighboring countries in Bahrain, and the excessive use of weapons and killing against the peaceful people, Sayyed saluted them and called on them to stay persistent until achieving victory.

He then moved on to the Lebanese latest developments. On the Lebanese level, Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the campaign against the resistance arms, which included all types of media, publicity, and speeches against the resistance which took place in Lebanon without any uproar from the other campaign (March 8) and without any reaction (from the March 8) and this proves the lies of the other party.

Hizbullah SG pointed out that during the past two months, all we have been hearing is repetition of the same accusations and same slogans, we have always said we do not fear dialogue, and our school of defending our country is one of the most important schools taught in the most important military schools worldwide. He added that none of the incidents happening will affect the resistance and its performance, the latest proof to this development is the last dismantling of the "Israeli" espionage device. He reiterated that none of this happening will affect the resistance and its people, it will actually make them more faithful.

Giving an example on how the resistance can protect Lebanon, His Eminence said "When the Lebanese government determines to dig into the sea, or the South exploring for oil or gas, it will not find other than this resistance to impose Lebanon's respect and preserve Lebanon's right in these resources. Sayyed Nasrallah went on to say that the aim of this campaign is to drag the resistance into conflict, but we tell them this will not happen. Another goal of this campaign is provocation, and here Sayyed Nasrallah addressed the youth particularly and said that no one should be provoked, underscoring that there are always those in the March 14 who aim at stirring strife in the country. "There will be no sectarian strife in Lebanon, and the Lebanese should deal with all the talk of incitement through media with patience," Sayyed Nasrallah said.

Also, Sayyed Nasrallah touched on the Wikileaks cables published by Al Akhbar newspaper, that reveal conspiracy against the resistance. He said these reveal the hopes of crushing the resistance and also reveals the disappointment of many on the August 14 victory. As for the first part of the Wikileaks cables, it is the analysis and interpretation of the US officials (Jeffrey Feltman and Condoleezza Rice) which we have no problem with. But the second part of the cables includes declarations from certain Lebanese figures of demands to "Israeli" occupation of Bint Jbeil and the continuation of the war, as well as the deployment of multi-national forces. Here, Sayyed noted that some revised their political path and decided to support the resistance while others remain clingy to their policies and to what they said in 2006 (Wikileaks cables) and still call on the destruction of Lebanon and remains to conspire against its people. The people harmed during the war, will now file cases against those people, and so we have a new file to add to the False Witnesses file (that of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon), Sayyed declared.

Concerning the government, Sayyed Nasrallah said that there are outside pressures on the PM-designate Najib Mikati, concerning the formation of the government and its ministerial statement, reiterating that despite all pressures a new government will be formed, which is a political challenge that we all should face.
