RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- The wife of detained Palestinian activist Ahmed Qatamesh said that the Israeli intelligence refused to release her husband despite the Israeli prosecution's decision.

The Israeli occupation authority arrested Qatamesh, a leader in the popular front for the liberation of Palestine, following the Itamar attack on 19th April and held him for 8 days, which were extended by 6 more days that ended last Tuesday.

However, the wife said that the Israeli intelligence refused to release him and ordered his detention for six months under administrative custody, without charge or trial.

She appealed to all human rights groups to demand release of all Palestinian prisoners and an end to the policy of administrative detention.
