Some 650 pro-Palestinian activists are due to land at the Lod airport on 8 July in an awareness activity covering issues relating to the apartheid wall and ethnic cleansing. It will also shed light on the measures Israel has taken against international pro-Palestinian activists, measures including deportation and travel bans to the territories.
The visit was called for by forty Palestinian organizations, the Popular Resistance Committees and the national labor factions.
The activities include the reclamation of lands under threat of state confiscation by Israeli occupation authorities and peaceful rallies condemning settlement activity and the apartheid wall.
Events also include tours of the Palestinian provinces of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Al-Khalil, the Negev, and occupied Jerusalem and southern Jordan Valley.
It has been agreed that the activity titled “Welcome to Palestine” will take place on 8 July, marking the date when the International Court of Justice outlawed the apartheid wall and settlement expansion in 2004.
